Default Major issues with Betfred (long!)

We're owed a significant amount of money from January and don't seem to be getting anywhere.

We were promoting their 500% casino offer and ranking really well for some great terms and referring loads of players going for the maximum £200 deposit. In January we agreed a move to a CPA deal which we have in writing, having initially tried to get that sorted in December. We did this because for us the guaranteed payments were more important and also because, based on November and December it looked like most players were using the bonus and not returning.

The CPA deal was only implemented from late January but we have it in writing and were told verbally it would be backdated. We were paid a fraction of what we were owed in January and, long story short, have been getting nowhere. On the face of it our Active Wins rep is being helpful but don't know if he's struggling to get things sorted with Betfred or what but it all feels like delaying tactics and we're not getting any real answer.

Last month Betfred asked us to stop promoting them entirely which seemed strange as we'd been profitable for sports and everything else prior to their 500% casino offer. We don't want to cut ties with them but what to know what anyone thinks our next move should be as we just aren't getting anywhere.

A week ago we gave a one week deadline for a final answer on the January payment (we also have issues with the amounts paid in March and a discrepancy for April but thought best to deal with one at a time) and yesterday came and went without even an email from AW.

Any thoughts appreciated and sorry for the long post.

I think Natalie is our rep's boss. We haven't spoken to either of them but I assume they are aware of the issue so not sure speaking to them would help...or do you think it would?

No offence but IMO only an inexperienced affiliate manager / program would agree to a CPA deal under those conditions. You didn't have much faith in your referrals so I just can't understand why they did.

That's irrelevant though. The deal was agreed.

Also, for a small affiliate like us, guaranteed income was better. A huge company like Betfred can afford to have a few losing months knowing that just one or two big players will easily make that back over their lifetime of betting.

Cheers, will give it a go and see what happens but otherwise think we'll have to look at legal advice.

Definitely run it up their chain of command, as Aidan said. Give them all the opportunity to "do the right thing" before considering any type of external action.
