Default Lucky Jar Affiliates - Closing Rooms?

    Hi Guys & Girls

Got a bit of a concerning email from Lucky Jar Affiliates - it seems they are shutting down rooms and as i read it are cutting affiliates out of their earnings.

    Dear XXXXX,
We would like to inform you that the following brands, Bingo Extra and Give Back Bingo have now closed on the Lucky Jar platform. Please remove all tracking links, content and promotional material related to both brands.
If you have referred players for either brand, please note that revenue share will no longer be earned as both brands have now closed on Lucky Jar. Any commission outstanding for either brand at the end of August 2020 will be paid as normal.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your time and effort promoting both these brands and to confirm that all other Lucky Jar brands are operating as normal.

If you have any questions on the above, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

    Kind Regards
    The Lucky Jar Affiliate team
The Rank Group ( Mecca Bingo ) now own these brands. I read the email as - we are shutting down the brands on the Affiliate program and we are not paying Affiliate revenue anymore.

How are you guys reading this?

Some of the brands including Casinos on Lucky Jar are heavily promoted by Affiliates and if they are doing this with bingo - will they do it on the Casinos as well. It seems likely that they will.

I really am amazed at the email though. Basically a middle finger to Affiliate partners on these brands is how i read it.

Would come as no surprise, they stole all my players many moons ago. As I'm sure they did with plenty of other affiliates. As for Rank, they are just parasites like the vast majority of gambling affiliate programs in the UK these days. They slashed my commission because I wouldnt play ball with them.

The way I read the email is the brands are moving to a new platform. This may have nothing to do with Luckyjar, Luckyjar may not own the brands. Either way I'd have nothing to do with them or Rank. At some point they will come for your commission and players.

From a very quick bit of digging looks like the brands have moved to dragonfish and are now on united commissions (part of rank).

Also looks like players have to sign up again which seems to be a common trend for bingo sites when moving platforms...

I received it too. What I dont like in these "kind" of updates that they are not supplying all the information as they should (unless they have something to hide). As their affiliate partner, you are entitled to get a full and detailed explanation of why these brands have been removed and also why they are staying live while you stop to receive the commission you should get...

These kind of messages are non transparent and usually come as a result of shaving affiliates.

It's under the affiliate program responsibility to explain why they stop paying commission and if they hide it.. well they are most probably dont want you to know that they just want to make more money on your back.

I'm not saying I know for sure this is the case with LuckyJar, however after over 20 years in this industry I can safely say that the great majority of the cases similar to this one ended up as a shaving action.

    Default Something Smells Rank :)

Yes you are right - i didnt think to check for that and you would think that they would add that into the email. When i log into the United Commissions program i dont see the brands or some others that they have taken over like Mummies Bingo.

No sweat as OCREDITOR pointed out - Rank are not the nicest guys. They own Lucky Jar too i would assume, as they took over Stride a while back.

I guess not paying further commissions on players is ok seeing that they migrated platform - that is - if they did not migrate players. I dont think that it is possible to do "player migrations" in the UK anymore in any event. So its a fresh start for them.
