Link exchange question and the page one links to?

Hey guys,

The PPC suggests not directing the click to a homepage but rather to a special advert? Has anyone tried this with the link exchange and do you find it is better conversion?

One of the points of a link exchange is to gain PR which won't happen for your site if your link is pointing to a different page.

There are advantages to linking to interior content pages. A lot of my Google traffic goes to my interior pages. Google guidelines say do not exchange links for the sole purpose of page rank. Links are supposed to be a service to your visitors.

If you have inbound links to your interior pages, you will probably get better SE positions on the keywords for that page.

I agree - I was referring to the question regarding links to a specific advert which wasn't part of the website.
