Has anyone bought any property in Cyprus?

Hello,

I am thinking of potentially relocating to a place with a softer climate and more sun (compared to where I live now). One of the places I am looking at is Cyprus, I have been there several times in the last couple of years and seemed to enjoy it quite a lot. Additionally, it is still Europe, so it is easy to visit friends and relatives in other countries and have them visit me.

So I was wondering whether anyone had any experience buying property in Cyprus and can maybe share some experience or tips that you wished you would have known earlier.
