Have I just made a huge mistake?

Hi,

I've been working on building my website for months now and I have to admit I'm pretty happy with how it's looking and should be ready to launch at the end of July, however I've used Wix to design it and didn't see any problem with that but now I've done a bit of digging on google I've found some stuff that says Wix isn't great for SEO!

Anyone have any advice about this? If Wix really isn't any good for SEO then is there any way I can change my site to wordpress without having to start from scratch?


Any help and advice would be appreciated massively!

If you have used wix then you have not done that much work anyhow.. just copy and paste the text and build a new site fresh.. wix is great for your hairdresser or taxi cab type site.. but if you are starting an affiliate site then you need to look at the compeition

I don´t have any experience with Wix, but I know, that worpress has many useful SEO features, you should move this way probably

Wix is pretty good for SEO.

There is no way to change to one platform to another without starting from scratch.

Sooner or later you'll want to move to Wordpress when you start needing some more features, but as far as SEO is concerned, you're good.

I tested Wix a bit and it has it flaws and a bit more difficult to handle (the design is very smooth and easy, but all the rest).

To make sure - you have a paid version, meaning not the one that ends with xxxxx.wix.com?

Thanks for the replies ad thanks Dan for setting my mind at rest somewhat!! I am obviously using a paid version of Wix and as long as it's a good enough platform to get me started then that's good enough for me right now!

You're always best to have full control over your own webpage from the offset in my opinion
