New Site feedback

Hi Everyone,

If possible I would like feedback on a site I am working on; http://www.pandasweeps.com

It aims to target the UK horse racing and Football betting crowd and I would love feedback from experienced affiliates on things like site design and the best way to promote affiliate programs to maximise revenues!

Hi, and welcome to the forum.

Whatever is above the fold (before the scrolling) is the place people click the most, most of the time. What you have there are the moment is a substantial logo and an overwhelming menu. Too many choices. It's pushing down your content by a lot. Make it a single line menu. The layout looks pretty normal, but you can always change that whenever you want.

Shiny banners, might not convert at all, especially with people running around AdBlock addons, (mostly for youtube ads) but it blocks most banners and stuff. Text links and call to action words should be somewhere around.

In the age of social sharing, might not be a bad idea to put up a few sharing buttons in case people find what you have written interesting.

Not sure if this applies to affiliates, but from what I know +18 and a link to a gambling addiction community should be present.

I think those are enough for now, to help you polish what you have already created.

The menu and site looks great on the mobile and ipad when held vertically. Horizontally it is too much as xecut points out. Great colors and overall great site. Welcome to GPWA!

I would advice you to change the color of the navigation on the right. All that blue is a bit hard to read. It is okay for the bigger titles. But the smaller texts are harder to read.

I like the basic look of the site, but there are a few points I'd change.

The top menu is too busy and too big - I'd consider condensing it into some drop down menus. It would allow you more information above the fold and make the site more navigatable.

Another minor thing - personally I don't like animated banners and I'm glad to see you don't have loads of these. You do have 2 Bet 365 banners - it's the same banner duplicated and staggered - they look a little out of place and you'd be better off with only one.

hi in generell the page is very clean and I like clean designs so that´s a pro. A con is definitely the header. There are too many links included. With such a header the visitor don´t have any idea what to do on your page. I would reduce the links or make some sections this would be definitly better. the rest is very nice

Yeah, I'd have to agree that the menu is just too big. Doesn't look good, especially with that color (although the color would probably be fine if the menu was smaller). Also the two small banners on the left side (bet365, no idea if it changes) have a weird positioning - one is higher than the other and it looks weird.

Looking at the footer, I feel that the blue doesn't look good on that background too. Maybe think of a different color? Just a suggestion.

General question: why panda?

The site looks nice, but you could upgrade it with two steps:
- menu is too big - it should be smaller because now it doesn't look like menu at all.
- Facebook profiles are not good idea to be on the footer, you could place them on the right side
