About choice of affiliate program

Hey guys,

I’m pretty new to affiliate marketing and still trying to figure out where to start��

I’ve been looking into different affiliate programs lately, but there are so many options out there that it’s hard to know which ones are actually worth it

What programs or platforms have you guys worked with so far? Which ones would you recommend, and which ones should I avoid?

Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Just wanna make the right choice and avoid wasting time��

Perform your research.

You can start by reading a few thousands posts here at the GPWA, as this is actually asked weekly and sometimes even more often. (after a few thousand, keep going a few hundred thousand left)

Change up the search criteria frequently and consider searching possibly by geo or sub market. Read through many of the Sponsor threads since most of them with provide contact information if you want to ask more probing questions.

one thing that saves a lot of time as a beginner: pick the geo and the traffic source first and only then the program. a program that is great for uk seo can be useless for someone doing social traffic in germany, so "best program" really depends on that.

once you have a shortlist, read the terms before looking at the commission. check for negative carryover, admin fees taken off ngr before your rev share, and what happens to your players if the brand is sold or the program closes (the lottery office thread right now is a good example). the affiliate programs directory here plus the rep threads are a decent way to see how a program actually behaves before you send it a single click.
