Promotion Feeds
Hi All,
I've just finished my new gaming comparision website but I need to fill it with some special offers.
Can any one recomend a system which does this. AffCaff used to work but it doesn't seem to any more
Are there are more current ones?
Much appreciated!!!!
Many thanks,
Allan

affCAFF works except the server it's on got DDOS'ed today so it's down at the moment. Whoever did Meister is doing the rounds it seems. Should be OK soon.

I think I did an RSS module some time back which would work - if I can find it LOL. You could query that and store the results. I also know of a paid-service that is coming up soon where you can get a monthly updated (I think) list of bonus info from lots of casinos (not sure of an exact number but think it's over 200) which is in XLS/CSV format - that would probably be even better. Not sure when that's coming or price but believe it's imminent. I sent a load of the affCAFF data over to help get it off the ground.
Cheers
Simmo!
PS. Affcaff's back up and running btw: http://www.affcaff.com/
PPS. You'd need access to CRON if I can find the RSS feed...does that work for you Allan?

Thanks for sending that over PM Ian.
Thanks for sending that over PM Ian. I can't PM back unfortunatly as you need 5 posts! :S NOOB that I am
LOL
Awsome. Thats perfect. Thanks very much Ian.
So, can I ask. Do you work for AffCaff?
You have been extremelly helpful!!
If yes. Its a great system / saves bonus sites a huge amount of work!!! But... what do AffCaff get out of it?
Also, how do AffCaff keep their data up to date from all the different opperators?
It must take agees? Or does each operator have a special offer feed!?
Further to this. I can see the concept being helpful across the whole of the affiliate industry and I wonder why large networks like CJ don't supply an RSS feed of deals?
Do you have any thoughts on any of this?
Cheers mate I owe you one!

I helped create it for a friend (he had in mind exactly what you suggested for the affiliate industry as a whole) who has since moved on so it's in my hands at the moment. Just talking to Michael at GPWA with a view to them taking it on but I just need to find the time to make it transferable/managable LOL. The principle behind it was to take promotions from multiple operators into a standardised feed across the board, then spread it into other markets to make it simple for affililiates to maintain their sites.
I had a girl doing the updates for me until Xmas but have let it slip a little in 2010 - just occasional updates - but assuming I can get it over to GPWA soon it should pick up.
Nothing in it for me apart from the fact I use the data myself - it was intended to be a revenue generator but just never panned out that way but too useful just to ditch.
I've provided a lot of the data to someone who is setting up an information service as referenced earlier which might provide me with some royalties down the line, but it's not an affcaff product - it's a data collection service - so affcaff itself needs to continue.
Cheers

Thanks Ian,
What you are doing for the aff industry is fantastic.
The idea of a HUGE list of deals for every merchant is awsome, but then I guess it would make everyones like just to easy. Perhaps thats why people are not doing it! Sayign that....
I just phones CJ, who said they have an XML feed of deals in BETA and they are sending me the details. SO..... IF that is good, and does what it says on the TIN. I'm buying a voucher code site and pumping it with the CJ XML feed.
If only it was that simple!!
Thanks Ian and let me know if I can help with anything for you.
Cheers
Al

That affCAFF is pretty cool, instead of bugging our affiliates to update their site they can just use this. Thanks for the tip, something that we gotta look into!
Allan, I love setting up special offers, so check out our program at www.slotlandaffiliates.com and if you like what you see let me know and maybe we can work something out

There are companies that offer full feeds for vouchers/offers for all merchants.
icodes is one and there where 2 others I looked at but can't remember the URL's now. One was defo free but you where limited in how many calls you could make per month.
