I read that today on another seo site. I think that google is trying to ramp up the prices to their adwords and penguin is helping. To their defense the purpose of penguin or panda may not be to increase their revenue, it may be an additional benefit for them. There is way too much shady seo out there and tons of sites that are ranking that don't put in much work except use automated seo tools. I think it is good to get rid of that garbage. Only one of my sites got hit from penguin, and the reason is I used an seo from fiverr which really messed up my rankings.

I didnt discover this forum until a few months ago. The good thing is it only effected one site. I have new domains that are less than a month old that are doing better already than that site that got hit with the penguin. Fiverr is good for other things, like article writing and there are some good graphic designers on there.
