Default No such thing as a free chip, yet we promote them ...why?

No deposit bonuses use to be the bread and butter of any and all websites and forums. But when it comes right down to it we are not promoting anything worth promoting when it comes to free chips. Lets face it, casinos simply want you to sign up so they can have your info. Thats it. People dont cash out on free chips anymore now do they? Too many terms and software ( ill call them glitches ) prevent players from winning something for nothing.

Yet like crack in the ghetto , we are addicted to promoting them. And of course they still lead to depositing players. Do players not understand that there really is no such thing as free anymore?

Regarding the new 75x and 100x playthrough from one of the new rivals...get a fgrip people. who ever has this junk on their site is crazy. You want to promote a casino like that to your players? how many sign ups do you think you will get from people after they read the terms and conditions of that promo.

Casinos and their misleading advertisiments are destroying what use to be a fun industry. And they can't give that bull crap about how they are losing money on free chips cause thats more bull. Casino industry earnings have gone up millions and millions of dollars based on the work of affiliates. Why not make it easier on all of us and post some real free promos, or at least ones where you dont have to deposit afterwords or even a low playthrough.

What could possibly go wrong with a player getting $5.00 free with a 10x playthrough and a max cashout of $20 bucks? what would you lose?

keep it up you greedy buggers and see how long your casino sticks around.
I for one will be checking my sites for free chip offers with crazy impossible playthrough requirments and off you go. Stupid stupid stupid !

    Damn I am pissed.

Wow. That's a serious hot rant off pumacat. I agree that some casinos do this and they're sure get unwanted reviews from others. Care to name some?

I don't wish to point out any one casino , Im just saying its a little crazy to mislead peeps who think they are getting something for free when they really are not.

Geez pum. That was me. Should I feel stupid now?
Its not towards you or affiliates mojo, Its against the casinos who think its ok to offer such a crazy deal. Any forum owner knows that this will come back and bite you in the butt if its posted. ( we know that too eh Mojo )

We dont offer these on our casinos we just offer deposit bonuses....

No deposit is working very well in the poker world.

When we first start Bogart we did a free chip offer. Had a 100 bucks max payout and 30x rollover on all games... had a few payouts, and was a good promo. I think the trick is to make sure the rollovers are such as you DO get some winners. You need players to know you payout fast, and are a good brand. I also agree some of these rollover requirements are too extreme.

In the late 90's I had some rollover requirements of like 6 - 10 times, anyone else remember those days ?

I always remember trying to cash out $100 from a free $10 chip and being told I didnt play through enough.... next day cashout $1200 Happy Days
The trouble I find with the free chip offers is that you attract players with no money, I think that a decent deposit bonus and a VIP program that encourages players to stick around is a much more effective way of player retention

No deposit is working very well in the poker world.
Poker Time - $10.00 fre no deposit needed ( no terms posted regarding offer )

VC Poker - $10 free ( no clear terms of free chip )

Ultimate Bet - $10 free ( no terms and conditions )

Trust me, I dont have all day to post this nonsense but you get my point.

Poker is no different than casinos. Except they are screwing real money players out of their money by letting them play at table where people are playing with non real bonus chips.

We do $20 ND with 20x and $50 max cash out.

We see many players cashing out their $50 which is actually good. Many operators don't understand that you want your players to feel they can actually win or, in the worst case, get close to the requirements so they want to play some more with their own money.

    My point of view.

Well I have managed it a few times with Rival free-chips - so yes people DO cash out from them sometimes.
The ones with sensible WR (e.g. Superior casino) are OK & do convert.

The rest of your post I 110% agree with!
    Especially these bits:-

I admit do list these insane Rival casinos on my site, but I do feel a bit embarrassed and stupid about doing it. However I also list just how crazy the WR is so my players know BEFORE they click on my links.

However there are some casinos (e.g. some Playtechs & Vegas Tech ones) who I refuse to list purely because of their ludicrous bonus terms which give players about a 0.01% chance of ever cashing out.
High WR on slots and the bonuses are PHANTOM??? Get real!!!

    Could not agree more.
I would even give the casinos the $5 out of my own pocket if they would run such a promotion.
    I'm pissed with you!

We offer a $10 free on about 3 of our casinos (if I remember correctly) only because it gives the affiliates choice. We have 19 casinos, so I don't think 3 casinos offering a no deposit bonus is a bad thing.. they do actually work in bringing in players for lots of affiliates because our no deposit bonuses also offer a match bonus on first deposit. So $10 no deposit bonus plus $XX on first deposit of $XX...

These seem to work pretty well, however I wouldn't advise an affiliate to push no deposit bonuses just because they usually attract players only looking for free money and not interested in actually playing with their own money..

In my experience, the "high rollers" tend to go for the triple deposit bonuses..

    Just my 2 cents.
