Third Party Intervention Regarding DMOZ
I think Jeremy, MJ, a kid named Pino from PAL would make a great 3rd party intervention on the accusations that have took place over the past few months regarding DMOZ. I see both sides of the story and no doubt sites like GPWA, CasinoMeister, etc should be listed IMO. I do understand however the "Wheel" action going on with younger sister sites related to the sites mentioned above primarily friends and families of the so organizations should be considered unethical. Obviously some of the newer sites "like the one that is less then a month old when added to dmoz" that are friends of friends should be removed as well. I can name 25+ better sites not listed on DMOZ them some listed in them categories currently being held by a few particular members and to say "apply for editorial permissions" is not the way things should be spun to. One should not have to become an editor to make things right when it can be done right now.
The best thing members could ask for is a "Change" and particular members withdrawal from the dmoz community. If it's voluntary and nothing is to be made from such privileges why would one continue to spend hundreds of hours trying to keep there dmoz links up and there ass out of the fire? I think we all know that answer and it's not the answer of defending ones ethics.
Personally, anyone with a pea brain knows whats going on.. Senior webmasters know it, Affiliate programs know it.. And the editors know it.. Not much has really changed.
Do I care ?
Yep...Ok just my rant continue on, my last comment on the issue and Happy St Patty day!!!
PS, I'm not picking on Corfman or Webcaz either overall probably really great guys.. This just goes in general for a majority of Dmoz gambling editors.

I haven't really said much on the subject because it's not really my place to but I had a thought.
GPWA/CasinoMeister should be on DMOZ - this is subjective - who decides if the great CasinoMeister forum should be on DMOZ? I am not say it shouldn't (I think it definitely should) but deciding who goes on DMOZ etc is always going to be problematic.
Whilst DMOZ may or may not be important, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone in this industry to do well. I am sure everyone here who is an affiliate has their own little secrets/routines/aces in the pack getting them traffic etc.
This is what it's all about - striving and finding areas to improve your rankings and your traffic.
I don't mean to offend anyone at all in my post just think the DMOZ subject has received too much attention that could be spent better elsewhere
