    Default Name and Shame thread!

Hi fellow Affiliates and Casino aficionados.

I would like to hear your thoughts on standing together to Name and Shame fraudulent and non warranted chargeback players.

Players are quick to "name and shame" casino's for decreasing max cashouts on FREE money etc, but what do we do to protect ourselves against the abuse from players in the form of Chargebacks (directly impacts financials)?

How do you guys feel about naming those players and sharing information of players that have charged back?
At the end of the day chargebacks hurt both the casino and the affiliate and we need to "join forces" to protect each other.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Best Regards
    Jason

While a good idea, you would run into issues with respects to privacy issues legally being that your a business. I think maybe GPWA could create a private room for casinos and affiliate programs to post that info to other programs. Providing the general public dont have access to it. Just a thought.

Mind due if the charge backs are done regularly then maybe it could be a good thing name and shaming them.

    Hi Gamble 4 Keeps.

    Thanks for the reply, appreciated!

Yeah even if we provide limited info i.e. First and Last name and username. Just some kind of reference that can be useful. So if you do perhaps get a reg that has similar info, you know you should keep an eye on the player and do all the necessary checks. This should be a thread where casinos list their VIP's as "fraudulent" players to ensure exclusivity of that player. So we need to maintain a high level of ethical practice to ensure that this does not take place.

    More thoughts and suggestions welcome!

    Regards
    Jason

In our country you have to prove almost 100% certainty that you did not make a transaction to a gambling site, before our banks would consider doing a charge back. They then would suspend your card and issue a new one, in the event the charge back was legitimate you certainly wouldnt get away with it twice.

I am surprised that many of the other countries don't use this same process.

    Hi G4K,

Yes, unfortunately in certain territories if the bank see's it's a gaming transaction, without question they reverse the charge...

This already exists for Affiliate Managers.

Releasing First and Last name is already divulging more information than your privacy policy likely allows and this could be against privacy breach laws in some countries.

It's not a problem I've had to deal with yet, touch wood. But name and shame, how will this help? terminate accounts? and can this system be abused?
