How does Google treat these URL shorteners ? My intuition tells me, that they may not be viewed well.....

Ya..I use tinyurl only to shorten the URLs and it does it effectively. I don't face any problem with that.
Ya, but some sites are there that do not accept tinyurls...

There's a WP plugin that you can use to shorten your url and keep your domain. It is great for affiliate links which are super long and difficult to track stats for. The name of the plugin is Pretty Link. It is talked about and recommended by a lot of top internet marketers.

So there's no need to use an external site for this.

I generally use bit.ly, I don't seem to have any issues with them. Anybody know of them and know of any issues with them.
