New Gambling News Website, feedback please :)

Hi guys,

we are putting together a new website, it was going to be a review website but due to the name we have decided to go another route. It's going to be a gaming news website, we are working on getting the website up and running (and functioning correctly) before we sign up affiliate schemes.

We have a designer joining us in a couple of weeks and have a small network of writers and ghost writers (mainly all joining us in April)

would love to know your feedback, our designer will be sprucing it up when he joins.

Hey TheWaiter,

I like the logo.

The menu bar - I can see why it's got the height it does, but given how valuable space on the homepage is, I think it may be better to half the height of the dark grey bar.

Likewise, the pic of the Hippodrome - I feel the pic is taking up too much space. Basically for the user to see any information they've got to go below the fold. I'm not necessarily saying get rid of the pic, but you want the user to be able to see your headlines as soon as the page boots up.

Looks good. There's some issue with the menu: only Home, About Us and Contact display correctly, pressing other things make the menu go weird.

Where do you get your lottery news out of curiosity?

Thanks guys, the aim firstly is to create a credible website, then pursue Google News. The lottery news comes directly from the lottery provider, once you get a certain level of traffic they keep you in the loop.

I noticed you're going down the adsense route rather than aff programs - any particular reason for that?

Looks pretty good/easy to read to me, though perhaps a little on the uninspiring side

Seems a good idea to me to at least avoid heavy affiliate promotion until the site gets established, then maybe add very carefully (or more heavily if your traffic has nothing to do with Google)
