Default Working with new firms/products/casino's etc

What does it take for you to work with new brands like new casino's and the like?

will you give them a chance and accept normal terms or do you reguest anything different?

what would stop you working with a new brand? does what affiliate software they use come into it?

I don't like working with new brands personally. I find it hard to convince people that a site they've never heard of is good for them. The best thing about new brands is the available affiliate managers, however if you can develop a good relationship with one of the bigger sites then they are likely to be able to offer the best experience to your players, aiding retention.

Part of my criteria is a minimum of two years operation.
That gives me a track record to examine for customer affiliate issues.

So I would never try a new venture.

I like to wait a couple years and we are mainly focused on Casino and Bingo so if a program is mainly focused on Sports or Poker we generally won't ever work with them.

Do you mean 'new' as in just launched, or 'new' as in brands you don't currently work with (but have been around a while)?

Assuming you mean new new, then I'd say it depends on the history of the group. If it's a group I already work with that launch a new casino, I'm happy to work with them right away - so if Fortune added 'Some New Casino' then I'd work with them straight away.

Similarly if a bunch of known people get together to launch a new project, again I'm more likely to work with them - although I'd be unlikely to go overboard on exposure until they'd been around the block a few times.

Finally if they're completely new and I have no previous knowledge of the program, casino or people that operate it then I'd hold off working with them until there was sufficient player and aff feedback to be able to make an informed decision.

Obviously all this also requires me to actually want to work with them and be actively adding new brands, which I tend to only do occasionally.

Newly launched programs usually by a old affiliate manager is what I am referring too If Fortune opened a new casino and a new affiliate program I would work with them but even then with our backlog it would likely take a couple months.

I would never work with a new start-up. There are too many risks associated with their own survival and so those risks transfer to me (if I am successfully sending referrals there). I also want to see that brand is keen to establish itself rather than just sell their business and make an exit. There is too much evidence of affiliates losing out when a brand changes hands. I realise there are certain advantages about rushing out a review of a new brand, but I will happily forgo that to reduce stress levels. I would only work with a new brand if it was an addition to an existing company I already promoted.

Also I will not work with brands that employ people (or that are run by people) who have a dodgy track record - and there is a big newish one that fits into that category out there right now. I also dislike dealing with sportsbooks that are a mere add-on of casino or poker companies. Bookmaking is a specialised business and I would not trust what was primarily a casino or poker room truly to understand that and so customer retention may suffer.
