Question AI Dealers – The Future of Casinos or the Loss of Authentic Experience?

We’ve noticed a growing buzz around AI dealers in the casino world, and it really makes us wonder.
On one hand, this technology has the potential to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and even keep tables running 24/7 without relying on human staff.
On the other hand, we can’t help but ask if this risks taking away what makes the live experience unique: the human interaction.
We recently wrote an article on this topic in our magazine, where we looked at both the opportunities and the concerns - and especially whether this is truly what players want.

We’d love to hear your thoughts:

Will players really accept AI dealers as legitimate, or will they always demand a human presence?

Ever since the beginning of computer generated gambling, including gambling machines (especially such as poker and video poker games), players have learned to accept non-real dealers.

Most players will not even recognize the difference of any type of computer generated dealer, whether the game claims they are AI or not. A poker game that might have a computer generated type dealer is not much different than a poker game that just deals the cards without the image of the dealer. The computer generated dealer is slightly more realistic for some of the players to some degree.

It also might be possible some will witness the fake dealer and say to themselves, this feels so fake and not want to play.

In fact, it is only recently over the last few years that online properties have started using live dealer studios to offer player more choices. The live games are very popular at some properties.

More choices can't be bad though.

"Live" should be "Live". RNG or AI is not live. Sure, use Ai, but don't call it "Live".

I don’t think this is what most players want, but I do think many will settle for it. It’s a way to reduce costs and keep the business running, so I’d expect it to be a cheaper option that remains profitable. IMO, people will get what they pay for, and human interaction will increasingly become a premium feature across several industries.

It’s hard to imagine players giving up human interaction — that’s part of what makes the casino experience special. On the other hand, AI can definitely work as a cheaper and more convenient option. I think we’ll see a split: some players will settle for AI dealers as the basic option, while others will pay extra for the “real deal” with a human presence. In the end, it just creates layers of experience — everyone can choose what suits them best.

How would a casino charge players for a live dealer feed?

How could AI spin the pyhsical roulette wheel?

Why do I get the feeling that I'm being toyed around by AI on this forum lately?

People are becoming AI, by interaction with AI. Talking to AI changes brains.

If you say that you are back in 90s... maybe yes, may no. Something is returning but something is vanishing. Like crypto is brining the hard cash, but with consequences.

Gambling nowadays is crypto, stonks etc. Nobody needs to spin roulette anymore, because for the new generations it is simply boring like going to see bones in a museum.

I am solving a kitchen desk in an isolated place (where I can not simply buy some) so I want to do it from concrete by myself. I was looking for real info from a guy who works for me online but I know he has a company in the other part of world that is doing stoneworks. I sent him a normal message what he thinks about the material etc and he replied to me with GPT summary. Wtf.

Many people are avoiding any inconvenience to the point of rejecting their own humanity. Thinking, making mistakes, getting bored, connecting with others, being misunderstood, and being rejected can all be uncomfortable, but they serve a purpose.

I don’t think OP is an AI (I could be wrong, total respect to your AIdar), but I do feel the OP is using it so much that it’s almost merging with it, so to speak. In the case of their site, and the guy who works for Sherlock, why should anyone give you a chance if you don’t even have the courtesy to give some attention and make a minimal effort.
