Thumbs down WARNING! StatsRemote Charging After stop working

    Hi,

I would like to warn you from xxxhttp://remotestats.com. I was robbed by the site. Here is my story.

I read some good testimonials about StatsRemote product, and after the trial, I decide to buy a 3-month subscription. As payment, the website allowed direct transfer on their Skrill account (moneybookers@statsremote.com).

I filled the order form and send the money. I also sent an e-mail to them with the transaction detail. Unfortunately, they never replied, even I sent them a several more messages on different email address I found.

I never received the product I bought, as well any reply from StatsRemote

Recently I contact with Skrill merchandise department, they promised me to contact the Business Department and force StatRemote to answer my e-mails. So far I still don't have any e-mail from StatsRemote nor the product I bought or the refund.

I attach the screen as the proof of the transaction.

Well, probably I don't back my money but I am going to contact Skrill Business and press them to close the account of this thief. I'm also going to create a website and rank it to warn more people about thieves from StatsRemote.com.

Or, do you have any other advice how to back my money or close the website? I'll be appreciated.

    Cheers!
    Lech

Creating a website to rank for keywords to try and damage a website that recently ceased their offerings for stats program is completely futile I would think.

I see that you paid in Feb 2017, have they continued to charge you after that? I was under the impression that Stats Remote stopped working near the end of 2016 or beginning of 2017

If there are additional reports of folks being charged for stats remote after Jan/Feb 2017 please let us know.

Unfortunately you did not search GPWA first before purchasing.

Here is a 13 page thread discussing this situation back in October 2016.
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/statsremote-229737.html

It appears that StatsRemote stopped functioning in Oct 2016, and there has been no contact with the owner / author at all.
Whether it is deliberate, or whether the owner has gone on holiday, or is even dead is unknown.

What is known is that StatsRemote is not functioning, not responding, and automated billing is still occuring for everyone.

    Good point Gooner...

Can anyone possibly post procedures they went through to cancel any recurring billing as maybe that would be a helpful reminder to anyone that may have let this slip.

I signed up a couple of months ago and was billed for one month. I cancelled my PayPal subscription after realizing that the stats weren't working. I always choose paypal instead of cc just in case and I'm glad I did.

I know it's not the ideal solution but I once reported my card lost and had a new one issued to get out of a stupid subscription with Adobe. They wouldn't initially cancel my subscription as they said I had signed up for a year. Once the card was cancelled I received an email from Adobe stating that my subscription had been cancelled.

edit: the agreement is tied to your card number and not your bank account number.
