Just watched first episode of season 8 of Wentworth .. sure to be another great season.

Here's some trivia:

• The original (soapy) was called Prisoner, which, commenced in 1979 Melbourne Australia.
• While the new-series is called "Wentworth", original series jail (goal) was named The Wentworth Detention Centre.

I watched this show for a few episodes into season 1 a couple years back and liked it a lot. It seemed to be a much edgier and grittier show than “Orange Is The New Black.”

Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. It is available on Netflix. Very edgy with many twists with each season ending episode leaves you hanging on the edge of your chair. Interesting trivia AussieDave.

wentworth is great! I only watched it because my other half started binge watching it and I got right into it! Well worth a watch!
