    Default Newb question about commision

    Hi,

I've got my first referral through my site and they have placed a bet and it looks like they won as the total in the commission column reads '-9'

I take it that this means that they will need to lose the same amount as they won and then lose some more before I would get any commission from them?

Also on the same point what if I get say 100 referrals who all lose say £100, I should be entitled to 25% of this. But then I get one more referral who wins say £10,000.

Would that one big win cancel out the commission from all the other players who lost?

If thats correct is this the standard way that all of the affiliate schemes work or do they vary between bookies?

    Thanks

    Basically, yes.

If the bookie was paying out on the £10,000 losses and not taking into account the £10,000 win, then they'd go out of business pretty quickly. In the beginning you'll experience large swings, but as your player base builds up things will even out a little.

    Thanks for the info.

Does this run forever then or are these figures reset after a certain period like every quarter?

Depends on the site - some will reset it every month (known as 'no negative carry over') whilst others will carry the negative balance (known as 'negative carry over').

Very good questions. We also got one depositor who won over 1,500 EUR and now we have solid negative net revenue. One solid win can change everything. But how they said, a player who wins, will come back and spend their winnings eventually , and re-deposit. Hope so.
