Introducing: BookieForums.com Review Forum

We deliberately chose XenForo to build our site because it’s favored by Google, especially for branding-focused queries, and we’ve noticed how top betting forums rank high in these search results. This inspired us to create a review portal that covers not just brand discussions but a wider range of betting topics—like strategies, KYC processes, bonuses, and responsible gambling practices. We’ve begun building Bookie Forum as a first version on XenForo 2.3, with sections for bookmaker reviews, country-specific insights, mobile apps, and more.

Since it’s early days, I’d appreciate your thoughts. Does this idea make sense to you?

Forum = people. Without people is no forum. There is a strong network effect. Does not matter the SW.

Forums were the social networks before social networks. Forums are dying and even those who have users from the past.

The only way how it can work is that you have a strategy how to drive there traffic and you will fill it with an interesting content by yourself. Not just for beginning, but much much longer and when some content will be created by users, you need to moderate it. I was running a small professional betting forum in the past and it was so much work, that literally doing anything else would pay off better. But at least it introduced me to affiliate marketing. So if you are a graphoman, you might learn something that you can use elsewhere.

But forums are really like steam locomotives in 2025.

The idea makes sense to me, but I’m not sure whether its execution will work. At first glance (I understand the site is new and has very few visitors), it looks like an informational website that adopts a forum structure. I understand the reasoning behind it, and we’ll have to see how it develops, but for now, I don’t feel it invites people to participate, which, to me, would be the ultimate goal of a forum: to build a community in which you become the reference.

You all rightly realize that the community can no longer be raised in the forum format, but there are trust engines, except WordPress, which loves Search. That's the point of the experiment. Specially chosen domain without a single link to test its path to the top.

You can maybe instruct some AI to fill it in with posts. Quite dystopian, worth of a test.

You can even have different AIs communicate with each other. It's a different content format here. I assume everyone in the thread has figured out what the "point" is. )

A year ago I would think it is a bs. But right now I sat with my carpenter for a post-work cup of tea and he shouted at me:

while i was googling the event that did not occur, one other coworker said, but here the plane has just 2 engines and here it has 4, it is kind of weird

so maybe your idea is ok
