Default What percentage of traffic do portals bring online casinos?

It would be interesting to know what percentage of traffic/visitors/players portal casinos bring online casinos.

The reason I've asked this question is that I've noted that some "elite" online casinos are trying to cut down on making use of affiliates to generate mainstream traffic to their websites.

    Cass,

    Internet casinos

Not sure on percentages, I believe its 30%, but its still a very lucrative option for the casinos as its basically free advertising

well its different for every casino out there. For example, casinos still taking US players are willing to pay a premium at this time for US players as advertising is almost impossible in North America. Some would argue that a number of casinos are at the mercy of affiliates - who provide up to 80% of their traffic.

Then there are others (will not mention any names) that consider affiliates as more trouble then they are worth. These are generally firms that spend millions on advertising every year and don't rely on affiliate traffic.
