Default Be accepted into the affiliate program with a new website

Hi friends, I'll start with a question and then some background.

How can I sign up to be an affiliate on a new website without content and traffic.

    • When I become an affiliate, I will be able to write reviews about the program's brands and their offers.
    • When I have content on the site, I will be able to drive traffic to it.
    • When I have traffic, I will be able to meet the requirements of affiliate marketing programs.

    1. Are there any programs that I can join that don't require a website address for review?
    2. What do you suggest I do?

I would love to stop being friendly, not condescending, that will lead me to success.
Just so you know, I have experience in affiliate marketing (awin, Amazon, etc.) I just need help.

    Thanks,
    Mark

Simple answer, Yes, plenty. (depending on the market)

Predominantly you will need to find programs that meet your criteria of the target market, as well as not having a minimum quota. Sometime difficult depending on the market but should be able to be accomplished with a bit of digging. Read through the terms watching for the quota and be sure to have a look at the sponsors here at the GPWA, the majority will discuss the quota if any in the welcome post by Anthony.

There is no way to make specific operator suggestions without at least the basics of what market you plan on targeting.

As far as zero content on your site, this could be a major drawback and something you should take care of immediately. You should be able to write up some content on topics you plan on covering even before you start doing direct operator reviews.

And if you do get a decline from an operator, try not to get too frustrated and be sure to try to calmly discuss the reasons and ask if they would possibly reconsider later if/when you do have a bit more presence with your site if in fact that was the reason for the decline.

Although some folks might disagree a bit, marketing (awin, Amazon, etc.) may be quite a bit different than marketing igaming and gambling, but you will understand that a lot more later.

Keep in mind there are no "shortcuts", especially when you want to build a long term site for both now and the future.

Have a deep dive through many of forums here at the gpwa to pick up more tips and suggestions.

Good question. I think the best way to start, is to build a blog (within your site) in the field of gambling, which is not specific to any online casino. This will solve the content problem.

Regarding traffic - this is less important for now. What is important is the content, and in fact also the privacy policy that affiliate programs require to appear on affiliates sites.

    Thanks Idan!
I tried signing up for a few programs. It feels like they don't want the traffic. Frustrating.
I'll keep working on content and try again.

    1. Yes, there are some, but I would dare to say the best ones generally require more details. What's your niche? If you share it, there's a higher chance someone here can give you more specific information.

    2. Rick's suggestion to search around the forum is spot on. I'd add that whether you reach out to affiliate managers here or via email, you should send a well-crafted message demonstrating professionalism/work ethic. Briefly introduce yourself, your work, and you can also mention an estimate of how soon you can publish the first review of their brand, or perhaps promise them a privileged place on your site.

I've received messages so hastily written that I sometimes don't even understand what they're asking for. A well-written message goes a long way, even after a negative response (keep in mind that an initial "no" doesn't mean you can't work with that brand later in the future).

Aditionally, I don't see why you'd have zero content. Do the brands you'd like to work with have something in common? Write about that. It's a good way to get ahead (you won't be short on work once you start getting accepted and the ball is rolling), start generating traffic and, most importantly, have something to show.

P.S. I didn't get the part about wanting to stop being friendly. I'd say the opposite: don't lose that quality, especially if you want a long-term business.
