All new pages are Discovered - currently not indexed

Hi!

Almost every new page I create become Discovered by Google but not indexed. All the pages are fine in terms of tech SEO, have internal links from indexed pages. I even tried to recreate such pages with different URL but it didn't help a lot.

Some pages are not indexed for more than 2 months already.

Did anyone face this issue recently?

Yeah seems to be an issue with siteground (https://support.google.com/webmaster...don-t-know-why), we have a couple of sites affected, hopefully they will sort it soon

Wouldn't be so sure that it's only Siteground (although the current issues may be, of course). I had it on WPX, and know of others on various hosting.

Can't prove it, but I suspect indexing partially fckd in Google.

When was the last time you had one index in reasonable time? Have you checked the status in GSC? Have you tried using a link indexer tool? Made sure there is nothing different about these pages than other indexed pages?

In the end (with mine and other examples I know)...all of a sudden they just indexed. Which is what makes me think it's all down to something going on with G indexing mechanism.

Yes, I actualy got this information from GSC

I submitted every URL to Google manualy as well

Do you own a fresh website? Perhaps you're dealing with a sandbox period. If not, look into the crawling statistics in GSC. Discovered but not indexed can be caused by other factors such as the priority you set for said pages or maybe there are conflicts in the coding of your page. If you are using WordPress, have a look at the settings for any plugin that may interfere with the robots.txt

The website is 1+ year old. The discovered -currently not indexed pages have a priority in crawling because I submitted them automatically. I've tested all these pages by Robots.txt blocking and all of them are allowed by it.

Yes, I use WordPress and these plagins

Elementor
RankMath
and WP Dark Mode.

And I just realize that the indexing issue appeared after WP Dark Mode installation. This is the only new plagin.

Suggestion for best way to prove that....

Disable and create a new page, and see if that indexes (in reasonable time).

If it does, you'll have good evidence that the others should follow. If new page doesn't index, you know that probably wasn't the cause

If you rely on disabling DM and wait see if the other pages index...and the other pages don't index still...it might be because Google visited, saw something they didn't like...and may not come back for some time to recheck.

I've created a new page once and it has been indexed. I tried it with other 2 pages last week and still wait for the results. I've also disabled DM.

Will see if something change.

I also have same issue, some of new pages indexed but old ones still not indexed. I got suggestion by seo expert to update content and submit agin in GSC manually, add in sitemap. I have done it and waiting for result.. If this works I will update here too..

thanks for your comment. I actually did this already. I've added additional content to these pages, linked to them from more indexed pages but this didn't help. Hope it'll help you

It's a relatively new feature in GSC.
Sometimes, google doesn't want to index some pages for some reason, even if you manually submit for indexing.
Make subtle changes to your post and save... worked for me.
