How can I get backlinks to my new site?

I am a beginner and do not know how to get backlinks.

A few of the methods are, you can buy them, you can exchange for them, you can do guest posting and write articles or posts that have links in them.

Or you can write killer content that others will want to link to naturally.

Be sure to research EACH and every one of the suggestions since doing any one of them incorrectly can harm your site more then helping it. The main method that has the least risk and best long term outcome is writing the best content you can.

Just go search ' how to get backlinks' on Google. Read through the first 10 results, then you can post with more specific questions.

Neil Patel's about 3 or 4 down is debatably the best to start with, but pretty much they'll all be saying the same things.

Another tip is to build your network. Attend to fairs and reach out to fellow webmasters to get tips and maybe exchange links.

There are lots of ways to get it: for money and for free.
Find a few SEO tutorials, get some more info and try do copy your competitor's backlinks at first.

I think most affiliates who are serious in this industry buy them, you need to in order to increase or maintain your seo positions. You might be able to pick up a few free ones if you create some high quality related news articles, but it's not guaranteed. You need to be careful doing link exchanges with other sites, certainly no 2-way exchanges, only three-way and then I would strick to related websites and keep the links contextural.

I think the problem is that anyone new(ish) to the game (and actually some of the more experienced players too) are constantly being bombarded with the 'you need links' message from various quarters.

(Partly) rightly so. Links help, there really is no question about that.

But do you need them?

Yes and no.

Yes, if you can't create (or don't have the ability to create) something you're proud of and is worthy of being in front of a searchers eyeballs without background 'trickery'

No, if (as Prof says) you target appropriately given how late you are to the party and/or you stick to (your) principles no matter how many times you see evidence you might be going the 'wrong' way.


No offence to OP, it's tough when you're new or 6 months in (or maybe even further) and nothing is happening, and everything/everyone is screaming at you ' get links'

Ehhh, depends what GEO you're targeting but honestly you can't really get good traffic without links. Writing 100+ articles for 1 click/day isn't worth it in my book.

If you buy, just be cautious. Look at the page/site you're buying a slot on. You should avoid any that appear as if they may be created just to sell links. It can be hard to tell sometimes but you should be able to see from the content, recent posts etc. See what else they link to, what quality their content is etc

And you site is Japanese right? I don't/haven't seen have any actual proof....but you probably should avoid any links on non Japanese sites. You have to be thinking ' would it be natural for this site to be linking to me'...and in most cases (but not all) it would be unnatural for (for example) an English site to link to a Japanese page

And the strong advice would be...make your page/site the best you think it can be as a first step

Yes, content is king. Provide content that's not available elsewhere, or do it better than is available elsewhere, and other sites will *want* to link to yours.

And if you're *not* doing anything better than the thousands of other sites just like yours, then your site doesn't *deserve* links.

Guys, what you obviously get wrong, users/players DON'T have a website usually!

And if you'll be lucky enough to find a poker friend who runs his own blog on his hobby and you pitch your content and he will place a link to your commercial website, it will change nothing. Such links are almost always weak and useless.

If you publish your outstanding killer content (and what has not yet been written hundred times), the most you can get out of it, are some social signals.

All those backlink strategies who working in many different industries, doesn't work in gambling. Yes, maybe you will acquire a link or two with an infographic, but thats because of the laziness of other webmasters.

Compared the other affiliate verticals, we make a ton of money. And thats a well-known fact, that other website owners consider for sure if you talk about to get a backlink from them.

In the end, if you want/need backlinks that actually move the needle, in significant quantity, you need to take money out of your pocket! Period!

If it is a new site i wouldnt worry about getting backlinks to start with. It is more important to fill your site with good and usefull content and leave backlinks for later on. Smart topic/keyword targeting can help you get some traffic on your site to start with. Backlinks on a brand new site could potentially get you in trouble.
