Looking from some opinions on layout choices

I have a slots site that I started last year and then left to fester as I got distracted by other projects, and the way I was initially doing it was a bit too time consuming/ambitious.

So I'm going back now and getting it ready for a relaunch, and I'm restructuring the format to make it 1. more user friendly and 2. easier for writers to enter the information directly.

Currently I'm trying to decide between two layout options:

1. A thumbnail layout like the one seen here: http://www.goodslotsguide.com/cryptologic-slots.html

2. A list layout like the one seen here: http://www.goodslotsguide.com/jrevie...l-video-slots/

The site is far from finished and I'm just trying to decide which way to go before I develop it any further. The pages will of course have more content on them etc... once its finished.

So... which layout do you prefer?

I prefer the second layout; it seems that is more informative and tidy.

personally I prefer the list layout but that maybe just because my main site uses the same sort of layout, but to me it was easier to use straight away

I prefer the 2nd layout personally - I have tried to find the right layout for my sites but always keep changing my mind

Oh interesting, I wasn't expecting everyone to go in that direction.

I want to provide more information about the slots such as type, features etc... so did a quick edit to the list layout on this page only: http://www.goodslotsguide.com/netent-slots.html

Is it an improvement on the list layout from the first post? I would probably fiddle with it a bit more and figure out a way of making the features not overflow onto more than one line.

Personally I prefer the first version of the second layout.

Initially I would have gone for the thumbnail layout as there were more slots above the fold. However with the revisions made on the second layout, you definitely have a winner!

Agree with others that the second one is best, well its my preference anyway. In just those first few moments that a page loads when I am 'absorbing' what's in front of me without actively reading what's there, the bullet-pointed layout helps me make a quicker comparison and then click through on the game that most interests me.
