Chargebacks galore

I can't be alone in seeing numerous chargebacks and other deductions suddenly appearing where they never had been before. I'm referring specifically to US facing programs (the ones that are left that is). I guess I shouldn't be surprised since the government has essentially forced out anyone trying to run a "legitimate business" in this space but seriously, how stupid do they think we are?? Is there anyone still worth sending traffic to? It makes me sick to see these guys benefiting off my time and money and then blatantly ripping me off. I've never posted on forums before but I'm desperate and any help would be greatly appreciated.

A couple us cc processors closed down, so probably some operators dont have very good cc processing right now...this might be a good reason

I would guess it's also people who have money stuck inside some ewallets or at some poker rooms that have recently been frozen charging back because they are scared they will never see their money again.

This is disheartening but it is what it is. USA residents still want to play poker so I'm pushing who is left. Basically Bodog and some sites on the Cake and Everleaf networks. I still have a pretty good list if you want to click on my sig and see the sites.

Yeah, the ship is slowly sinking and everyone is scrambling for a life-jacket before the water rises too high.

Could be that they are not trying to rip you off actually affigold but that the chargebacks are genuine. Maybe players are trying to salvage what they can while they can - If I am not mistaken there is an 18 month time span from the date of a transaction during which players can still chargeback. This could explain why there is this drastic rise in recalled transactions all of a sudden. Some of the original transactions could date back to 1 year or more.

These players could be thinking that by charging back they could make it look as if they were never involved in online gaming and that they essentially were victims of fraud. See through lie but then again, it's their right and they may be scared of the consequences as well.

Don't get me wrong affigold - I am not going against what you stated. I am simply explaining another scenario which seems plausible to me based on my experience.

Actually this depends on the bank. Some allow 6 months, most 12 months, and others have no limit. So you could chargeback something from 5 years ago. Personally I think that's crap.. I actually think that even 12 months is too long. If you don't realise there is a mistake on your bill within a month or two, then you probably shouldn't have access to a bank account because you're too careless.

And some banks have a no questions ask policy when you chargeback anything under 50 euros.

Each bank varies on their time period to request a chargeback.

Totally agree with you. I know the banks should make allowances for their customers but sometimes its beyond ridiculous. And 12 months is most definitely too long according to me. I can go for 6 month - even that sounds far stretched to me - if you consider that there are unexpected occurrences in most peoples' lives where checking your statement could be the least of your worries.

Making sure that the entries listed on the statement are correct and that there are no payments to unknown is essential I would say. And right when you get the statement or within a couple of days NOT months or years afterwards.

I got my VISA statement today from a Canadian bank and says on back of statement you have 30 days to inform them of any errors and to file a dispute .What sort of bank allows you to go back a year to charge back lol

Quite a few of them believe me. Offhand I can mention Barclays, HSBC and Santander.
