Default Need advice on how to sell backlinks

Hello everyone, I am planning to monetize my website by selling backlinks (along with affilate income). So could you please share your experience.

For now I have a website that has around 1k pages indexed on google, approx. 350k words of content.

I add around 40-50 articles (1k words+ each) per month.

What is the reasonable % (from these 40-50) of articles that would have outbound links to other gambling websites (so that my website wont be considered spammy, and will provide value to my "buyers")?

Last but not least, is there a possibility that google will punish me for such "monetazation"?

Thank you everyone who will answer!

The bottom line is that Google frowns on selling links, but many people do it
My advice would be that you should be ok if you only sell 2 to 3 links per page, and ensure that the sites you are linking out to, have the same relevance to your website content. eg It would look suspicious if you have a link to a Pet website on a casino website.
Try and make the links look natural within your content and even better if those links genuinely add value to your reader.
Eg Lets say your page is talking about the Martingale system of roulette and your client has a website about the best roulette casinos - it would then be natural for you to link to his website as you are adding value to your reader - i.e telling him where he could play Roulette once he has learnt the Martingale system.

Thank you for your response! "you should be ok if you only sell 2 to 3 links per page" wow. I was thinking to sell may be 3-5 links per month, so about 10% of my new pages (as I add about 40-50 pages per month) are going to have outbound links. It follows that I am definitely going to be fine.

If you REALLY want to pepper your large website with external links via selling those links, I think your best approach would be to look for people who rank on page 1 for the terms those pages target.

Then, reach out to those sites and offer to sell them a very relevant link from your specific page.

This will look clean to Google because you will be selling links to "authority sources". How can you know they are authority sources? Because Google already ranked them on page 1

If you start selling links to every **** show website that wants a super specific keyword heavy link to bump them off of page 5 you will look spammy to Google, and the astute reader. EX. If you want the [link to weak site on page 5]UK best super slot magic games[/link] then try visiting the folks at blah blah crap site on page 5.

This would be my approach, if I were truly trying to monetize with link sales.... only a "white-hat" in appearance approach. No bullshit.

All that said, do you have any poker related pages that we rank for on page 1? I'll take a link for the free advice

Don't do it openly. Don't advertise you're selling links on your site. And don't be surprised if you make a mistake and get caught. That goes with the territory. Most sites only lose the ability to pass value through their links. But if you do it egregiously, your site could be deindexed.

It's not unreasonable to make this a monetization strategy, but I'd suggest more as a back pocket option. It can be done safely, but it's something you shouldn't consider (or attempt to do) till you're experienced and your site has gained some age/authority. By then you will probably have a better idea of what you can and can't (safely) do.

If your site is just adding cheap spun or plagiarized content and you don't care if it crashes and burns then do sell links.
If you value your site and it gets some traffic and is making some referrals, then you can build on that. If that is the case, do you really want to wh0re it out and risk a penalty that it may never recover from?

Well, first you should repost the threat on the Blackhatworld forum, that's all they do there. Second, as Topboss said, Google hates buying and selling links. But think about it, how can it make a difference between a natural and paid link? If your site gets like 1,000 backlinks in a single month, it would be a red flag. But having outbound links is the most normal thing. Google actually expects you to quote external sources in your content to make it as informative as possible. So I see absolutely nothing wrong in backlinking all of your 40 articles. As long as you have a good PR, well written and unique content and you're in the same niche as your buyers, it should be of value to them and shouldn't harm them in any way.

Selling gambling links on blackhat world forum first, because they have sooooo many gambling affiliates as opposed to ummm maybe a forum that caters directly to gambling affiliates, gambling affiliate programs and gambling operators like maybe the GPWA is well a strategy is a method with more diminished returns.

In addition to maybe but going there first? that sounds more like a method used for someone that has done very little research or posting activity at the forum where MORE gambling affiliate website owners spend their time.

I suggest you consider the cautions of some of the members here and take a look at
    https://www.gpwa.org/forum/advertisi...ng-248882.html
and consider listing link availability here. https://www.gpwa.org/forum/link-exch...-services.html

Simply put a contact page/email that works on your site. Outreach people looking to buy links and guest posts will find you if your site is worth finding. Do not waste time on Blackhatworld. AGD and GPWA are better igaming forums with trusted users.

Don't sell links to new sites or underdeveloped sites.
Avoid outreach resellers to sell links on your site.
This could get you caught or penalized when they misuse.

If you open up to selling to casinos then get ready for a ton of emails once you've sold your first 2-3 links. All sites scrape their competitor backlink profiles and try to get the same link. In a way I'm saying that there's not much turning back once you've done it the first time - casino also pays more so it's an attractive passive income just for posting an article.

Personally I think it wise to limit the number of links you sell. Also if you can keep the link niche relevant then it will look more natural and definitely work in your favour. If your site is about shoes then linking to other shoe and apparel websites makes sense. Linking to casinos makes less sense.

as cgjapan said everyone is scrapping competitors backlinks, but mostly top competitors, so you can place link to monster competitor for free and just waiting for next 500 for $

you can check incoming/outcoming links ratio on serp- just choose 10-20 good competitors and check their average ratio
