Default Gambling surges in Russia despite ban

Russia issued an almost total ban on gambling three months ago, confining the practice to four remote areas of the country. Not surprisingly, gambling hasn't disappeared from Russia after the ban. Instead, it's moved to other places, like lottery machines and Internet cafes.

Moscow's deputy mayor says that the number of Internet cafes that provide access to online gambling have risen threefold since the July ban.

    From Fox News:

"We are seriously concerned about the rise of surrogate technologies," Moscow deputy mayor Sergei Baidakov said at a news conference. "They are the byproduct of imperfect legislation."

"imperfect legislation" where did we hear that before, oh yea UIGEA.

Russia now knows what we all know, PROHIBITION DOES NOT WORK.

We are not complaining we have seen the traffic of our site www.triobet.com go through the roof with Russian players.

Big problem with Russia is it does com ewith a high level of fraud so you have to be very switched on.

    Thanks

    Shaun,

Has the Russian new law caused any issues with payment transactions to Russian players?
