    Question A New Member's Confusion

Hello everyone, I’m new to this forum. I’d like to learn how to build an affiliate marketing website for the gambling industry, but I’m not sure where to start. Maybe it’s because my English isn’t very good, but the content on the forum seems a bit confusing to me. I was wondering which posts I should read?

There are so many really to be honest.

Most likely for deciding what to do from the ground up, you will most likely want to start in the Freshman Forum and the Chatter Box. Be sure to read through a healthy dose of the SEO threads as well as monitor the affiliate portal review section also.

#1 The Freshman Forum will help you pick up tips be reading through many of the questions many newer members and affiliate might have as they too may have been in the same spot when they asked those questions.

#2 The Chatter Box is similar to the Freshman Forum and will often contain more general type questions and topics that could easily be helpful.

#3 SEO Section can easily help provide tips and tricks about thing to watch out for and help in your overall planning phases.

#4 The portal review section is great as it will expose you to hundreds of sites developed or improved over the years and will give you a ton of real world examples you can see and may be quite helpful.

There are other tips some may add about picking the geo, or to get a "feel" for what you might want to do, but the more time and effort you put into just reading more and more, and see what questions, tips or examples many others have had will certainly be able to help you decide what YOU FEEL is the direct you are comfortable taking a site.

After you read a few thousand threads, relax there are thousands more...lol

In the coming days, there well may be many more posts of motivation or those that help you with direction. No single one answer will ever be the one, unless you feel good about it.

Hey xyseo, I'm also new here and can relate to feeling overwhelmed at first. Rick's advice above is solid — the Freshman Forum and SEO section are great starting points. One thing that helped me when I was starting out: don't try to learn everything at once. Pick one specific area (like choosing your niche or understanding how affiliate programs work) and focus on that first. The portal review section Rick mentioned is especially useful because you can see real examples of what established affiliates are doing. Don't worry about your English either — plenty of successful affiliates here work in non-English markets. Good luck with your journey!

Welcome to the forum. Many of us are not native English speakers, but so far that has never been an obstacle to communication. Personally, I have never received any negative comments because of it, even though I have made my fair share of typos. People here tend to be very kind and eager to help.

Regarding your question, I think it would be more useful if you could share more about your current situation. Have you already picked a market? Do you have any technical skills? Or is this still just an idea without a concrete shape, and you are trying to understand what you would be getting into?

Thank you for your reply. I’ve built websites and optimized them for SEO across many industries, achieving good results. Recently, while creating a website for a client about slot machine equipment, I learned about affiliate marketing in the gambling industry for the first time, and it seems like a lucrative field. So, I’m thinking of launching my own affiliate marketing website to earn some commissions. However, I’d like to confirm whether it’s as profitable as I imagine.

It depends on several factors. I know that’s a lame answer, but anyone who tells you the range is small is lying. This industry is constantly changing (though I wouldn’t say for the better), and overall, profits have declined. Years ago, the barrier to entry was higher and required more technical skills. Now anyone can create a decent website, but there is more competition, regulations have increased, and profits have gone down.

Moreover, what you consider attractive earnings may not be so for others. For example, the amount that might seem attractive to someone living in Latin America would likely be very different for someone residing in Spain, where the tax system for the self-employed is voracious, or in some cities in the United States where the cost of living is extremely high.

Welcome to the forum, As for your question, the answer is yes it can be very profitable as long as you're getting the correct traffic. Keep in mind that search engines treat gambling differently. There's a lot thats been written about it here in GPWA.

Your best start would be to buy a quality expired domain, rather than a fresh site
