Question WP Plugin for betting tips / betting slips

    Hello,

I'm looking for a WordPress plugin that would allow me to:
    - add betting tips to match previews
    - change the tips' status from "in progress" to "won" and "lost" from the admin panel
    - publish the various tips in a sidebar widget (e.g. Match 1 tip 1 won, tip 2 lost) and a page

The plugin / widget should allow me to add bookmaker logos and affiliate links.

I did my share of digging on Google but to no avail.
    Help?

I'm not aware of any plug in as that's quite a specific set up, but this would be very easy to do with a few custom fields and a couple of shortcodes.

We do something similar-ish here although we don't bother tracking the result (but could be very easily added though). Tips are individual posts from a CPT and they feed into the sidebar etc..

If you want to do it yourself and know a bit of php then you can just use ACF for the fields and CPTUI if you want to easily create custom post types. Then it's just a case of writing the shortcodes.

Or you can can easily find a dev to do it on codeable.io, I'd say it would only only cost low $xxx to have done.

I have never heard of such plug in.
Contact a dev to make it for you.

Hi all, I've recently came across this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/dabasys-betting-picks/

I'm currently in the testing phase of it, but it seems it has everything needed for publishing betting picks. Regarding the bookmaker logos and affiliate links, I think it still doesn't support that, but you can suggest that to the publisher and hopefully we'll see that feature in next releases.

    Hopefully it helps! Cheers!

Last updated 3 weeks ago and fewer than 10 active installs.

Plus no review on whether there are hidden links, bad things going on with traffic etc.

Looking at the developer's home page, gives zero feelings of confidence.

Developer also has an affiliate links plugin, and instead of a unique name uses a name with an extra word of a plugin with over 300,000 installs.

I tried it out on my test environment, and you can do the same job with shortcodes. So don't bother installing it and thanks to rick for pointing out all the negative effects that plugin might cause.

    Hello,

our plugin is doing exactly what you are looking for. That means you can add your own picks/predictions, select bet type, and bookie (from your bookie list - you can add any bookie you want with logo and URL).
After the match ends you need to add results and all stats are calculated automatically. There are shortcodes for active picks, played picks, tipsters, single match view, and single tipster view, you can also create bookie reviews (as a custom post type) and much more.

If you are interested we can give more details and if it is not against the rules, we can also provide the site URL.

    https://tipsterscript.com/

Do you have a free version or only paid?
Whose affiliate links are used on the various versions, or are they shared and if so at what percentage?

I see the plugin is not listed specifically in wordpress database of plugins how new is this?

Are any other calls or links back to any of your sites included anywhere in the plugin?

side note I see the plugin labeled dabasys is closed permanently by the author.

    Thank you for post aproval.

    1) There is only paid version and that is the reason why it is not listed in WordPress directory. We initially started with a Joomla version in 2014 and the WordPress version came out in 2018.
    2) Regarding affiliate links, we do not include any of our own within the plugin. This is because we believe in maintaining transparency with our customers. The price you pay for the plugin is the final cost, with no hidden fees or deductions. As the customer, you have the complete freedom to add your own bookie affiliate links. This means you keep 100% of any commission made through these links, offering you a great opportunity for monetization.
As for calls or links back to our sites, we do not include any in the plugin. We respect our users' autonomy and privacy.

I hope this answers your questions, and I'm happy to provide any further details you need.

This is a very interesting idea. We are currently re-writing https://tipstercompetition.com from the ground up.

One of the changes is we are allowing people to create their own competitions, proof tips etc and even point their own domain/sub-domains at their own comps (possibly for a small fee)

All games feeds, odds and results are fully automated.

I would be more than happy to discuss how we could benefit the community by creating a script/plugin so this could be added to sites. I would rather not go the WP plugin route, so its generic... but it would be super easy to add.

My thoughts are, you could manage your tips via the site. but using a script, display them anywhere you wanted on your site.

I'm not totally against doing this as a free service... and my feed costs are anything but free!

    Let me know your ideas/thoughts.

The 1 and 2 part can be done via API calls. Advanced Custom fields for a sidebar widget
