PR has vanished from my Google toolbar

A few days ago, the green Google PR indicator disappeared from my toolbar. It's just not there anymore and I can't see anywhere in the options that shows I've disabled it.

Any ideas?

Try dragging the line to the right. (the line between the word search and more)

If the toolbar is not enabled at all, you can enable it by going into toolbar options and the pr toolbar is enabled under the general tab.

Once you get the options enabled you want, and positioned where you want them to be, close the browser with the file exit command, (closing all tabs) and then reopen the browszer and it should always open with the tools in the same position.

The bar is enabled. The arrow when clicked shows the following (here comes another screenshot).

Under the Google toolbar options, I can't see anything relating to pagerank under the 'general' tab. There is something under the 'Privacy' tab - 'enhanced features, use pagerank' but this box is already ticked.

The mystery deepens...

Hmmmmm well if it was anyone but you Rob, I would say that Bill sneaked into your computer and performed an update or something to mess it up a bit....

But since it is you....welll it might be giggles fault.... (I had to throw that in there because I haven't blamed her for anything in weeks.... LOL )

.... then again....Anthony hasn't been caught lately either.... ( no it can't be my fault cause I usually only get blamed on the second week of the month)

It does appear that it is turned on and there just not showing....

You do know there are TWO fields there between the word Search and More.... maybe when you tried to drag the one to the right you had actually grabbed the left one and not the right one....the more only shows up when that field is comprtessed in size by more than there is room for on the bar....

Have you recently done any updates?

Worst case scenario you could uninstall it and reinstall....

Re. updates, only recently the automatic Windows updates. Thanks for all your help - I'll keep attacking the thing. I've tried to reinstall the thing but no change. Grrr.

Try an uninstall, but do a step before re-install.

Delete the C:\Documents and Settings\rob\Application Data\Google folder
and the C:\Documents and Settings\rob\Local Settings\Application Data\Google folder

Delete both of those before reinstalling.

I chose the "rob" assuming that is the logon username...it might be something else....

I had this same problem at home and at office.
It is finaly fixed. I think it is a bug by Google.

This just recently happened to me as well. Mine shows exactly as FictionNet's. I also uninstalled and reinstalled with no joy. I tried dragging/manipulating the toolbar and it doesn't help.

How did you get yours back Yuval?

Hi!

Click the "more" button on the toolbar, drop down to PR, choose "cached" and will be back on your toolbar.
Bad news, if you log out of the computer, you lose this setting and have to re-do it !
So it's a bug from Google I guesse.
