I escape the sun by staying indoors during peak hours, using sunscreen, and wearing a hat.

A small umbrella that I can carry in my purse, avoiding going out at noon, and more sunscreen than I'd like to use.

Here in the UK it's more a case of finding the sun than escaping it

After years of enjoying the sun I am now forced to take extra precautions due to past skin cancer and pre-cancerous conditions. I always try to wear a cap, sunscreen and sunscreen spray on my scalp.

Same for me, where I live you actually chase the sun rather than escape it.
However, whenever I go to a warm place I usually try to stay out of the sun during the hottest parts of the day 12PM - 3PM, indoors most probably.
