    Default Multiple Account - Currencies/Markets

In the past couple of weeks I have seen a number of newer programs that are requesting multiple accounts for different currencies and markets. This would mean that you could have 6+ accounts just to promote one brand.

Surely these must be a better way to manage these. When you are managing a couple hundred account or even in the 1000+ creating so many accounts seems like a lot of energy. Personally I prefer not to open more than one account per program/brand.

    Thoughts?

Are they programs that have quotas?

If so, would that also mean you would have to meet the quotas in each market?

Would neg carryover, if they have it, also be combined or separated?

Seems like there might be a reason for the motivation behind this.

It could also mean the different markets might be run by different entities or partners, and it might be a factor that makes the backend separation smoother on their side.

Had the same situation, but my team is OK with that as soon as we will get our commissions.

It's funny because there was a time when most programs were really against having multiple accounts, now it seems to have gone full circle. Some of the VC owned brands even want different accounts for different products (ie: one for sports, one for casino).

If you have the traffic to support having accounts and/or there are no quotas to worry about then other than the additional admin it's actually beneficial to do it this way as it reduces the impact of neg revenue.

I know from an account manger friend that there are several reasons for that:

    a. different account manager for different GEOs - sounds stupid, but they have this
    b. calculation of fees - easier for the finance / BI
    c. commission calculation - CPA, Hybrid, Revsahre, leads, etc... that mess up their internal reports
    e. different program for different brands - even LeoVegas has different affiliate program for the UK brands

in all of those cases, the account manager is capable of duplicate the original account

Had a few of these, I wonder if each of the affiliate managers are in some way incentivised to have more affiliates on their books, so that's an easy way to massage the numbers?

If it's a no-negative carry over account then there's no downside from having one account per product that I can see, other than quotas.

So if you work with 10 brands from the same program you'll have 10 accounts?
