Default Why am I not ranking in Bing?

I'm having a massive headache with this at the moment. I've been ranking well for a certain keyword on google. Here's my search console results for the last 28 days.

    Total clicks
    1,026

    Total impressions
    13,154

    Avg. position
    5.1

Whilst on Bing I haven't had a single click from the same keyword and I'm stuck on page 3.

I've read blog after blog on the differences between Bing and google but I can't find anything that applies.

I've had Bing Webmaster Tools set up since day 1 and have sitemaps submitted and pages indexed.

My competitors for this term on Google all hold similar positions on the first page on the Bing but I'm just nowhere to be seen.

Any theories on what's going on would be much appreciated.

Do you target a particular country and did you set that in Bing/Google webmaster tools?

Both Google and Bing Webmaster Tools are set to United Kingdom.

Bing still loves and rewards link spam. Google much less so.

That was a popular theme of the blogs I've read. I looked into it and many of the sites on page 1 of Google but also on page 1 of Bing have similar/less links than me, in terms of both quantity and quality.

Tbh I wouldn't stress too much, if you're targeting the UK bing has very little usage compared to google, at least in our niche. We were #1 for a fairly large term in bing and it brought us a couple of visitors a day max.

The big G definitely has a monopoly in the UK.

Yeah I know what you're saying but I've found Bing traffic can be quite valuable in some areas.

After working so hard to get a page that brings in 10,000+ visitors a month from Google, I'm just a bit annoyed that absolutely nothing comes from Bing.

Their market share in the U.K. is around 20% but if I could get even 10% of what I get on google, that's an extra 1,000 visitors a month that I'd like to have!

I hold tons of 1-5 positons in bing, which has high volume in google... still traffic is 5% of what the G sends me

Bing responds well to link spam and values links from social media sites much more than Google, but usually always delivers a small fraction of the traffic that google will send you, even if you rank on the first page on Bing. It's ridiculous.

While the benefits and flaws of Bing could be debated all day. My main issue is trying to figure out why my Bing ranking is so much worse than my competitors on Google.

For some reason Bing's mobile test says my site is not mobile friendly (Google says it is) Could this be a reason for the lack of ranking?

I think it was answered earlier where you rank well for your terms on the big G as your site probably has a clean link profile and the sites below you do not, but those same link profiles (spam) will outrank you on Bing.

Have you tried different pages for the Bing mobile test as I had some results differ from page to page?

Every page I tried said it was not mobile friendly on Bing. The issue I'm getting is this one:

Zoom control is restricted Current viewport settings prevent the user from zooming in/out on this page.
Please check if minimum-scale, maximum-scale and user-scalable attributes are set correctly.

However I'm using exactly the same viewport settings as another site I tried and Bing does not flag this issue up with them!

Indeed bing still awards link spam. And it is notoriously slow with indexing your website, let alone crawling your website on a frequent basis.

Not with the "hard" keys, but yes.
