How these changes will impact Bovada, Betonline, 5Dimes remains to be seen. Highly doubt sports betting would be illegal in the US in the next 5 years.

Americans will go for legal outlets mostly, since there would be no point of going offshore.

In the short term this thing always helps the whole niche.

In the long term who knows. Out of USA were effective just hard domain blocks or threats of such blocks. USA have shown they do not go this way.

Someone needs to take the bullet; so that the man gets the final say. Fine and jail a few in exchange for valid licenses. This is probably the only path they can take to appease the US government. I'd say more of their work will go to pleasuring the State governments, since the supreme court passed the buck to them.
Offshore gods need to start working on this if they are to survive in the next decade. Else it'd be effing will hills and the honest ghosts of tel aviv ruling over the US.

I still believe in the USA in strong parallel bitcoin/crypto betting, even when for example Cloudbet is no more US friendly. If already almost 20% of US online bettors are in, then the snowball effect is in progress.

Overall, it is unclear. USA is a special country. They own most of the internet infrastructure, they have influence everywhere, so they are able to use much softer power behind the curtains (right now while writing this post my friend, who is now helping to one bigger domain registrar in Europe, is forwarding me messages where the European police is asked for cooperation from US police forces; it is an interesting read). Instead of blocking they seized domains, but offshore is ready for that. Will they really give up the market in a legal way to offshores in the end? What with the big local illegal market within the US? I feel we are missing something when we inevitably think that USA must go through the same part as Europe went.

And I do not believe WH can do anything. They ruined their own sportsbook in the UK, where they actually had the advantage of first mover. All that those guys and the Jews do is making some PR announcements and not real business. While they slowly tunnel the company from inside. If the Israelis showed something in gambling then it is just their absolute incompetence to do anything productive.

Either Bitcoin will function as a workaround... Or the regulators will wake up, change and become more reasonable - faster than crypto adoption.

E.g. New Jersey seems pretty reasonable. In my opinion US will become regulated and similar to Scandinavia - sooner than Bitcoin will get the chance to take over the market.

Of course William Hill cannot do anything, I don't see any connection between WH and US.
But I wouldn't say they show "absolute incompetence", quite the contrary it is very competent just to focus on short-term gains when you don't see long-term future. You know your company is going down and regulation getting tighter; so just rip off both players and affiliates while you can. In two years you'll work for some other gaming/marketing company anyways so who cares.

That is how mid-level management in corporations work. It is different than long-term thinking like bet365 but I'd say it is still better than some German guy compaining about everything on this forum (not referring to you).

    I am not really German

Well in this way yes, my bad. You know your limits and you do what you can. They are really good at it and they deserve kind of perverted respect. Still the big companies, who have the power, have to have the influence over regulators, if they want to survive. Yes, there is the game on surface about democracy and so on. But when it is about real power, the best capitalists simply find the way through and do not eat themselves from inside. But that is out of their league.

WH and those are definitely very good at screwing everybody and it is the way to perceive the world as it is: looking at the special abilities (and consequences) (and then to decide which way I want to go).
