Default Press releases for online gambling sites?

I'm really interested in doing some press releases for my gambling sites, but I have no idea which ones allow online gambling. I just asked PRweb.com if they allow them, but they said no.

Does anyone know any good press release sites that allow online gambling? Also, which one do you think is the best? I don't mind paying money for something that is better.

Any information would be fantastic. Thanks very much in advance.

You can try 24/7 press release. The minimum price is $49 per article. We've used them a couple of times and they're pretty good.

Thanks so much for the great advice, I really appreciate it. $49 is a great price. I was going to spend $369 at prweb! lol I'm actually glad they don't allow online gambling now. I probably would have gone broke before I saw any SEO results from them lol

I'll give them a try tomorrow for sure, awesome stuff

Another vote for 24/7 here - they're pretty quick, no hassles with the whole gambling thing and cheap.

Irritatingly even the UK arm of PR Web don't take gambling PR's as it's all run out of texas.

Look up "free press release" sites on Google and have at it. There are hundreds of free sites. They are good for back links.

    Hi JC, thanks for that.

When I do a press release, should I do something about a new feature on the site maybe? Or just waffle about anything remotely related to the niche? Also, can you use the same press release on multiple free press release site?

Thanks, (really haven't a clue about this stuff as you can see!)

Yeah, promote something new on your site and why people should visit it

You can have the same press release on multiple sites but it will be pointless in my opinion

do you not still get more backlinks though, even if it is the same content? Also, who do the press 'releases' go to? Ie, who actually reads them?

    sorry for the dumb questions

We use http://www.transworldnews.com, plus a pretty extensive network of industry contacts.

Highly recommend getting direct mailing address of every gambling news site you can find and mailing them your releases directly.

    Gentlemen, there's something I fundamentally don't understand, and i'd really appreciate any help understanding it;

Why would another casino bonus/bingo bonus/free bet site have anything to make a free press release about? When I think 'press release' I think- a football team talking about a new signing, or a plaintiff in a court case talking to the media, or a political party telling more lies.... but I can't come up with ONE scenario for a free bets site. There obviously are scenarios, so can someone spell it out for us?

This is just not clicking in my brain,

    Well,

Speaking specifically about a release about a free bet site, you could have a release about a a new free bet for a casino, and then of course add some reasons why you should visit the site and get the free bet as well as others.

Hi Rick. Thanks for coming back.

So one more question- does anyone actually read the press releases? Or are they jsut for links?

I have had great success with 24/7 press releases. The have a great distribution rate and the releases have hit several online gambling news sites. The $89 option is the best if you are looking to really generate links. There is a good mix of dofollow and nofollow links generated which is great in the current climate of SEO. I would just set up a Google alert with the name of your website and you should see results starting to flow in within a couple of hours. A great service for a really good price..

Pretty much just for links. It's very unlikely any news you have would be of interest to journalists.

However, it is possible, especially if you do a crazy publicity stunt like these guys: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/watch-...130000027.html

They got coverage in Yahoo, Rolling Stone, Daily Mail, NME, Huffington Post, The Express...

    The list goes on.

Agreed, very weird and very brilliant the Michael Jackson hair ball PR stunt. Can we get Harold or HVDB in here to comment on the results of that campaign? Would love to hear some figures about the boost in traffic, etc..

It really depends on the target market, for example 24-7 is ok if you are looking for US traffic, but if you are looking for UK and European traffic, other PR websites tend to do a better job. Make sure your press release has the options to share it via social media, some do not have this feature.
