Its quite old now but for me the ZEITGEIST: THE MOVIE | 2007 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pTbIu8Zeqp0 was the first eye opener for finantial world. If you havent seen it check out the whole doc. if you just want the finantial world part - skip to 1:06:00 minutes.

Definitely not Wolf Street LMAO that was a scam artists' job. The Big Short is probably a good way of looking into financial education because it actually gives you solid information about the topics that they are talking about. However, you need to make sure that there are no issues and you still have to research properly. You cannot emulate that kind of event in your life without the proper foresight and good acumen in the financial game. It is hard but it is meant to be hard. Hopefully, you can pick up useful lessons from there.

Wtf is that? Do you want to be educated or amused?

If you want to be educated, then there are no good movies. Wealth of nations is a movie? I had no idea. It is a first textbook of economy, too big, too old and IMHO not worth of reading (I did not read that, just Samuelsson is quoting him and even Samuelsson/Nordhaus, which is now the basic textbook IMHO is too dull - Samuelsson/Nordhaus is not teaching how the economy works, but how mainstream economist think).

I loved this short book https://www.amazon.com.br/How-Market.../dp/0255366760
It is Austrian libertarian school mostly, which is what the retarded right wingers love, but it is good and hopefully with a bit of concentration possible to read even for newbies.

If it has to be a something to watch maybe All Watched Over by Machines of Loving Grace. Maybe American Psycho if it has to be a blockbuster.

But I am really afraid the question is not about education but about some guys who were smarter than you and who made a lot of money so you can keep dreaming. None of what I wrote above is fun.

The best financial education is to make the money. If you are not making them, then you make something wrong. If you are already rich, but there is someone richer then you, you still have a lot of space to improve. By trial and error.

Nobody will ever tell you how to make money. The people from universities do not know it, but they have titles, so some people believe them.
The people who write books or do some educational videos are the ones, who are trying to get rich from selling you some nonsense. You are the product.
When Hollywood is making something about markets then it is really not an education. Markets do not run on using cocain and looking cool.

I really recommend the Kirzner or Schumpeter, who are coming with a ****** simple idea: if you are trying to make money, try to get a bit monopolist power, get an info or skill that no one else has and squeeze as much as you can from it. In other words markets are not some random movements, pump and dump, sqeeezes etc. That is not what it is about. Markets are about transmitting a real information through money.
If you talk to God, you are praying; If God talks to you, you have schizophrenia.

The best financial advice comes from a movie called, The Gambler.

    Take this to heart.
