Hey everyone.

Im new here...iv recently started my portal
Iv tried posting the link to the site, but since im a new user, gpwa wont allow me to post links...i guess its a whole spam protection thing.

Anycase, the domain is wwwDOTgamblehuis.com

Its still very much a work in progress...

The whole middle section you see with the banner ads etc are all going to be changed, and different content added etc.

Just thought id share what iv done so far, and see what you guys thought of it.

Currently, only the Reviews, Bonus, Blog etc are working. Slowly but surely adding the rest.

I think it looks great - I was impressed at the amount of detail you've got up for the casinos reviews, for a new site.

Also think the layout looks very professional and clean. You seem to update your blog pretty regularly, so I might feature that in a more prominent spot on the homepage.

Hi Gamblehuis Welcome! nice clean layout of your site, I was a bit turned off by the monotone home page, a bit more color is more to my personal taste but a very clean layout and not looking like a carnival side show was pleasing.

Trust me in saying, if you browse around here you will learn a ton! Your site looks so much better than my hideous attempt a few years back.

I have to say I really love your site...

And i see what you're trying to do with that gray... reminds me of one of the affiliate program sites.. can't remember who's though.

It might be worth changing most of the text and the logos to the actual colours rather than the gray just to help with readability and recognisability...
As for the casino logos, you could make them in a very pale shade of their true colours and have them bright once someone hovers over..

When I click on the reviews page, there is a lot of wasted space between the table and the footer caused by the huge banner on the right hand side...

I know it might be something you want to keep, but I would consider getting rid of that banner on that page for the sake of people staying on it.. Perhaps you could test it out and see how many clickthroughs and how long people stay on that page with and without that banner there.

On the "Beginner's Guide to Online Casinos" I would suggest to perhaps scrap at least one of those banners there as it takes away from whatever will be your content. It's good to have a call to action, but I think that will actually divert people away from the page rather than clicking on it. It's too intrusive IMO.

For the bonuses page I think the content fills the space much better. Again I think the banner on the right hand side should be scrapped... perhaps you could consider getting rid of that and putting a 120x240 banner on the left there under the navigation panel.

Wow, im very excited regarding your response.

As for the beginners guide etc..those links dont exist..iv just slapped one whatever i can for now..and the banner on the right hand side will be removed, as im adding mini widgets with random bonuses and content for there. I was trying to stick to a minimal amount of banners, otherwise none..but will see how it goes.

But thank you soooo much for your opinions, and will definitely show the rest once its done. The bonus page is only half complete atm and beneath the bonuses, goes a bunch of content and imagery.

I think most people already said many things, so just my opinions here and there:

I like the idea of gray, but more color could definitely be added to make certain things stand out more.

I think the top menu doesn't have enough contrast, it is a bit hard to read with the colors they are now.

Overall the site is really nicely done, it looks professional and like time was put into it! Awesome that you have facebook and twitter there, but would add color to those buttons to make them stand out more.

Also as stated before, the blog could stand out more

The jackpot tickers are awesome and i love it that when you hover over the casino logo it becomes color, very nice!

The reviews and screenshots are very nice, you are smart to do it right the first time!

It seems that most ppl are commenting on the colour scheme...i think il introduce some colour into the HP...maybe the facebook and rss feeds etc

As for the blog...do i need to make the blog icon stand out more on the home page...or is it the actual blog page that doesnt look nice?

Ok, so I didn't view the blog itself at first, so after this comment went to find it...

I found the blog link next to contact at the top, but thought maybe most people wouldn't notice that... so I thought maybe it was the links under the facebook twitter buttons - nope, that is your twitter page! Good to know, started following you on my 3 twitter accounts (I multitask) but maybe this needs to be labeled better. (maybe label it as Tweets)?

So then I thought to check the news column, and got it! So this I would label as your blog.
