Default Picking an Affiliate Revenue Type

    Hi guys,

New to the site so hopefully I'm not asking questions that may be trivial.

I have affiliates deals with most online bookies and have a decent website and social media presence.

I have a revenue share deal with them all but i'm not finding it as profitable as expected.

How easy is it to get a CPA deal with the likes of Paddy Power,Coral, WH etc etc
Can I get a CPA deal with revenue share? Is it called hybird?

You can scroll down to the bottom of the forum and contact each affiliate individually. I would personally go for rev share, there are some the offer cpa and the hybrid. Welcome to the forum, you can go to the freshman forum and introduce yourself and submit you site for review for suggestions on making it better. Good luck and enjoy!

Hi TheAA, welcome to the forum.

With WBX we consider Hybrid and CPA on a case by case basis. We used to offer CPA exclusively but when our program relaunched we changed to 50% revenue share and have found that most of our affiliates are earning a lot more now than they would have on CPA.

You will find there is some great discussion going on the various reward plan types in this thread here: https://www.gpwa.org/forum/cpa-reven...re-206949.html

revshare takes a while to become truly profitable as you build a player base. I was offered cpa many times by several programs, but refused it every time. Now I'm glad I did because I've signed up a few whales over the years.

How long have you been on revenue share for? CPA deals provide a quick win but very few people will dispute that revenue share works out a lot more profitable in the long run if you work with the right brands.

Unless you need a quick cash injection or have consistent advertising costs that need to be sustained, like with PPC, then I'd never work with CPA. Think about the guy who could sign-up next month and drop a couple of £k per month for the next few years - you'll be paid a one of small fee for him and never see a penny.

I know WH are pretty flexible and providing you send players they'll work with you based on your preference in most cases, give your account manager an email and find out. Not sure about the other 2, never really worked with them.

    Hope the above helps!

I agree with what Dave said above, I think if you're in it for the long haul, go with a revenue share deal, you'll make much more!

Or, if you need a bit of cash up front, but still want the benefit of a revenue share deal, then go with a hybrid. Depending on your niche, you can get a decent CPA amount for each depositing player and still have the perk of earning revenue from them too. Also, depending on which program it is, some cpas from Hybrid deals never go negative, and are sort of guaranteed. So say for instance you earn £1000 in cpas from Hybrid, but your revenue is negative, in most cases, you'll still be paid the £1000.

    All the best

Hi TheAA, if you drop me a PM or an email with your account information, we can look into the possibility of offering you a CPA.

After reading this thread, I asked one of my affiliate managers for a potential CPA deal to raise a bit of funds, but they said no. Ah well!! I've been sending a stack of signups but still not yet seeing any significant returns.

Long-term I'd always go rev share but I can definitely see the benefit of having a CPA in the short-term if you are looking to get some cash together to expand your sites and maybe invest a little in SEO and other bits and pieces. Nice if you can get it I suppose.

I would just split it some go for CPA, some for revenue share, to keep money income constant, after while when u generate more cash just move all to revenue share and that's it, unless someone pay you $500 per CPA

If you have 10 bookies(casinos or poker rooms) to promote I advice you to try 3 on CPA deal and 7 on revenue. The first 3 on CPA will give a boost if you are a beginner in this affiliate jungle.

Thanks for all the replies guys, some excellent and informative opinions expressed.

I have some CPA deals in place and it gave me the cash injection I needed to spend on SEO optimization and costs associated with the website.

    Thanks again!!

when considering cpa versus revenue share you have to think about a few items: will the program go out of business, will they go rogue, will they change their terms to not pay out the revenue share? Sometimes when these things happen then cpa can look more appealing.
