    Hello,

I personally don't recommend going for an "aged" domain just because of its age and absence of penalizations.

What you need is a good existing backlink profile (essentially what you're paying for) and hopefully some history of hosting content from the same niche.

With the above in mind, the only place where you can find a domain name like that in under $1,000 is expireddomains.net given you grab it before others will.

Most "aged" domains that people sell will have a rubbish and spammy BL profile and no history of hosting any kind of content imo - the only reason they are being sold is because of their age and a KW in the domain name.

I agree with this, that's a good starting point.

I've purchased from there in the past and the system allows you to search for keywords that appear in the URL, ie 'casino', so if you have a target audience in mind you might find something that works for you.

As PaulEchere said though there are pitfalls and there's always the chance that you buy a domain that's under a google penalty so make sure you do your due diligence.
