Sky Vegas / Income Access warning

I just got a nasty phone call from Income Access informing me that my June commissions are not £5500, but instead £600. This is obviously very bad news for a small/medium sized affiliate like myself.

What makes it worse is I have had numerous conversations with the guys at Income Access informing them that my stats did not add up and that they looked significantly higher than normal (I usually average between £1-£2k every month for this program). They confirmed they had double checked everything and that I would definitely be paid £5.5k at the beginning of July.

I am working on a number of projects at the moment so have already started investing a lot of this money into these projects, after all, I was reassured by the guys at Income Access and I double and triple checked with them.....

What makes it worse is that it turns out some moron at Income Access set up the commission based on stakes rather than house win. I don't think Income Access can be taken seriously as an affiliate software provider, and I certainly will no longer be promoting any program managed by Income access.

I presume a lot of other affiliate must have suffered this problem with Sky Vegas / Income Access?

We completely understand how frustrating this situation is; you are correct that the commission structure was set up on wagers rather than the industry standard of net revenue. Irrespective of this being an industry standard criteria basis, Sky Vegas Net Revenue was the agreed-upon basis for the commission structure deal. As mentioned, this commission set up has only affected a handful of affiliates that were added to this commission group and we have personally been calling and writing to these affiliates informing them of our honest mistake.

Deanna i dont think its strategies et al that Josh is referring to , he seems to have brought the matter to your attention re the stats on a number of occassions and nothing was done. He also seems to have got reassurance that he would be paid that amount.

How would you like it if someone told you , you would be getting a specific amount and then at the last minute the amount was amended.

I do understand that you can only pay what has been earned but this seems to me to be a very bad situation and does not reflect well on Sky . If you cant even get your payment amounts right - how can we be sure that your tracking is working ?

Can we be sure that all of the data is being imported correctly by IA - i am assuming that your data is not live ? Can you verify if this is the case.

I completely understand where Josh is coming from and sympathise with him.

Hi Josh,

I had the EXACT same situation happen to me with Income Access. I believe I was promoting AusVegas back in 2006 or 2007. I also had a month, I think my first month, where there was a free chip involved and Income Access messed up their calculations. My earnings showed a much, much larger amount than I thought even possible. I brought it to their attention several times throughout the month, because I was budgeting the following month and needed to know what income I had coming in. Income Access assured me each time that they were 100% positive it was correct, even after re-checking several times.

You can guess what happened when payment date came around. Turns out, I was right all along and the stats were wrong. The large earning amount that they kept assuring me was not a mistake like I kept trying to tell them........ was a mistake at payment time. I was really upset since I tried to get them to see this sooner.

I had her close my Lasseter and AusVegas affiliate accounts. Not just because of the one error, but I had a string of things happen that upset me in dealing with Income Access back then. It was their non-chalant attitude whenever I contacted them needing some help.

I fixed that once and for all and just stop working with them years ago and never looked back.

I'm not saying they're a bad outfit. But they sure needed some improvement with their staff back then. Once I write someone off, they're off.

I'm sorry to hear this happened to you. I know how frustrating it is.

The mistake was the result of a commission structure that was set-up incorrectly, it was manually created to be paid out on Sky Vegas Wagers, rather than Sky Vegas Net Revenue. This issue is in no way related to tracking or incorrect calculations.

Below is a screen shot which depicts the set-up error having been based on Wagers:

Regarding how data is received and displayed, Income Access receives a registration and sales file daily from each client, which is then imported into the system, reflecting the data that has been received. We have a QA team who thoroughly test our data transfers, imports, display and calculations routinely on all our clients.

It is very regrettable that we did not pick up on this error, when Josh brought his commission query to our attention. We take full responsibility for this and have apologized for this mistake.

If you feel that you have any concerns related to tracking and commission payments please let us know and we will investigate the issue thoroughly and with the utmost importance.

When the program had shut down a number of affiliates and including ourselves were owed funds. We have repeatedly tried to recover funds for affiliates with no luck.

Because they are all in bed together

its really a symbiotic relationship of scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. The last year this industry has really shown its true face - its full of crooked companies! Look at what the big MGS programs have done the last year - Brightshare / Rewards - getting away with flat out lies and underhanded stealing yet sites like GPWA / AGD continue to accept sponsor money from them promoting them as if they are stand up companies. Think about it - seriously its a damn farce!
