    Default Daylight Savings Time

Ok, so the Aussies already started last weekend, but for those in the US, DST starts Sunday, March 13!! Just a reminder.

So set clocks forward 1 hr.

Most Euro countries have another two weeks until March 27, but it's coming!!

We (Aussies) are still on daylight savings for a few more weeks...

Edit: 3rd April is when we change back.

That's right, I forget sometimes that you're going into Autumn while we head into Spring. It's coming up on tornado season here, with lots of rain and flooding and sirens going off. I'm never sure what to do when the sirens go off, so I pretty much keep on doing whatever I'm doing.

Hope you have beautiful fall weather there, my fav time of year!

Some friends of mine have a smallholding and stick to GMT all year round, because as they point out sheep and geese etc. don't know the clocks have changed and require feeding/tending at the same 'real' time each day. This is fine except they have to think hard sometimes (i.e. in the summer) when everyone else is on different time.

Russia decided to stop changing time, so this spring we'll have the last one and stay with summer time for the whole year

To be honest, I hate any season that isn't summer.. but our autumn (what you guys call fall) is basically just summer anyway.. It's still hitting low-mid 30C here with a few windy days and a couple of rainy days, but still hot enough to be wearing shirt, shorts, thongs (flip flops) and going swimming in an unheated pool at 6am

I don't know why they don't do that in Australia... they were thinking about it a long time ago.. They should just do it. I'd prefer to have an extra hour of darkness in the morning and extra hour of light at night during winter..

Does DST really make a difference guys? I mean, does it help?

I am asking cause we tried it once here in Mauritius and it made no difference at all. Then again be it summer or winter (we don't have any spring or autumn here) the sun rises and sets between 05:00 and 06:00 am/pm.

    It makes a huge difference.

In summer the sun goes down after 9pm. In winter it goes down around 5pm.

    Default Except in Mexico

I walked around down here for a whole day before someone told me the Mexicans don't change till "sometime next month".(you guess) I'm glad they're not in charge of sunrise.

    It's awesome..

You can stay at the beach til all hours.. Have bbqs etc. And since it's soooo bloody hot, you don't want to go to bed anyway.

I'd hate it if the sun went down at 6 every day of the year.

I'd love to live in a place where the sun only goes down for a couple of hours every day in summer.. that would be awesome.
