Design Bidding

I was told some time ago there is a place where you type in your design brief and designers complete your brief for you to decide which one is best and then you pay for that particular one.

Anyone know of something like this?

The one I have heard of (from reading about them, never used the service) is this one: http://99designs.com/ If you google "crowdsourcing web design" you will get a bunch of articles on it all. It is causing somewhat of a stir in certain twitter feeds and blogs I occasionally follow!

Rent A Coder (now named vWorker because it is more than coders) is one example. Freelancer is another.

there is also one called hire a freelancer or something.. but i cant think of the name right now..

Guru should help you out though.

That's an awesome idea! I'd be interested to know if anybody here has used something like that?

Thanks for the feedback guys - I know 2 people who have used 99Designs and they told me how good it was. I couldn't remember the name and they weren't online to ask what was the URL
