Website content on blog posts!

My website has lots of different content regarding different operators, which I know a lot of affiliates do. What I would like to know is if I take certain operators content every now and then from my website and place it onto my blog site, does this work in a negative favour with duplicate content? or should I re-write or re-word the content before placing it onto my blog?

All my content is unique and written by myself.

IMO it needs some altering otherwise Google will deem it duplicate content.

Ideally, an SEO expert colleague tells me, articles should have a rewrite of around 70% to make them completely unique.

You should rewrite content before post in your blog. Because using same content is considered duplicate content and all sites on which same content is available may be banned. So avoid this thing.

Google does not ban sites for duplicate content.

If you take content from your website that already has been indexed by Google and place it on your blog you will not be banned or penalized. The copied content on your blog will simply not receive any credit. You should link back to your original content to give it more credit though.

So, if you are creating a blog with useful content for your readers then I think this is ok. If you are creating content more for Google ranking then rather change the content so that it is original. Read more by Matt Cutts.

There is no such thing as duplicate content penalty! But if your site is building purely on RSS feeds and content from other sites, such as article directories, high chances are your page won’t show at all.

All my content is written by myself and comes from my own site. I will look at making some changes to my content before posting the content onto my blog without damaging the actual content and I will most definately have a link or two pointed back to my website.

You can rephrase the article from your site and post a revision of it through your blog and that makes a unique non duplicate content.
