Default Backlink from Forbes, BBC CNN, Nytimes, Guardian, HuffingtonPost

Hi guys, I am working with a guy who can get a back link on some high profile sites like Forbes, BBC CNN, NY times, Guardian, HuffingtonPost etc. What they do is find old articles with deadlinks in and then 301's the domain to your site.

You cant choose the anchor or site which is 301'd but it is a easy/cheap way to get a link from one of these sites. I am not saying this is perfect or the holy grail of a link but it is a easy way to get one, if you need/want one.

Obviously the link could be from an irrelevant anchor/site and the whole back link portfolio from the old domain would also get 301'd to your site.

If anybody wants anymore info, drop me a message on here or get me on Skype: bettingappguide

Are they hacking Forbes, BBC CNN, NY times, Guardian, HuffingtonPost etc?

Do they work for Forbes, BBC CNN, NY times, Guardian, HuffingtonPost etc?

Does the management at Forbes, BBC CNN, NY times, Guardian, HuffingtonPost etc know about this, or it is a tech or developer doing it without the knowledge or permission of the site owners?

No.......there are links on these sites going to old expired domains so these are found and then 301d to your domain. The links on these sites are not touched.

Eg a link on bbc going to xyz site which has expired. Buying the xyz site and then 301 the domain to your domain.

It's a cunning plan - those sites link out all the time and old tech links must archive quite badly.

But clearly it's a bogus link - there is no real authority meant - and surely something that google will shut down for any ranking / rating purposes.

Yeh maybe, but as you say, a cunning way of getting a link from there. May do nothing, may do something.

The relevance on these links would be soo low that it would be unlikely that it would pull enough equity to move the needle on any rankings.
