Cynical maybe but as soon as Elegance turned up, this thread started to smell like a cook-up.

Love Elegance design's sites but cant justify the 10k+ they would want

OP doesn't want to spend 10k+... But loves Elegance web dev. All seems lost, until Elegance Design turns up with the announcement they're in development of a theme/plugin etc, which will lessen the expense considerably, and make this theme open to the masses.

There are plenty of other GPWA threads more worthy (value) of being this week's "Featured Public Forum Thread", yet this thread is what gets added to this week's GPWA newsletter.

@ OP - find a site you like, ask them who dev'd it.
if that fails, find an agency, ask them to replicate a site you like for a fixed price.

prolly faster than dev'ing something from zero.

Have tried, people dont want to share developer details. Understandably.

Have also emailed around 15 companies (some local, some further a field) Had 3 replies, and waiting on 1 quote

The reason I wanted to use a company with iGaming experience is they will know more about landing pages, UX in the gambling niche etc

Looks like I will give up the hunt on here

I have a good news for those who are not willing to pay for 100% custom web design & development.

We're working on a saas product that will provide centralised database of casino information (bonuses/terms/payment providers/softwares/other facts).

This will also come with a premium iGaming Wordpress theme which will fit smaller budgets as well, and will also include pre-sets like casino logos, relations between casinos/providers/payments, so all you'll need to to is to go and put your unique content and affiliate links.

if you have a bit of programming skills yourself i would always use fiverr for webdesigning. you get premium custom made wordpress themes for only 100-200 dollar.

however, with fiverr you always have to be very specific else you dont get what you want and need. also most of the times you need to do some tweaking yourself in the end to make it perfect.. but if are able to find out how to work with fiverr freelancers you willnever hire a regular webdesign company anymore.

alternatively try to find people from romania or bulgaria. lots of them work for companies like EA sports, and are taking freelance jobs in between. great quality and very cheap. you can rent a fulltime employee there for 500 dollar, meaning in reality they make 4 or 5 designs a month for you for that price.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of regular designing agencies charge you bigmoney, while behind the scenes they just forward the job to fiverr or cheap workers in india or romania....which they pay 100-200 bucks while charging you 10x or 100x.

all in all, i would never pay more then 200 for a design...

Also think of it as a process where you need several different roles, In order to get a project done in the proper way:
- Designer
- Developer
- QA
- Manager (someone to manage the entire process with iGaming and the important stuff in mind).

Yes i agree, i only talked about the design part. all the other things you mention i do myself for most parts..

About the bulgarian part.. im not sure where you are actually located, but i have recent experience with this (both romania and bulgaria) But ok, it offcourse will depend what you see as “good quality”, but for me it was perfect.

As an example have a look at gokhub.nl (not fully finished yet)... design made for 125 dollar... its not a wordpress sitethough as i like working with my own scripts.. and, this price was only for the design. the content and changing from html to php/ajax i did myself.
