Thumbs up What do you secretly want to know?

    Hey guys,
I'm thinking of running a webinar for new / prospective affiliates, depending on interest. For those who don't know, a webinar is sort of like a tele-seminar except on the web.

I can just talk about the basics but it would be more interesting if the content came from real questions.

What do you secretly wish someone would teach you / explain to you? Whether it's about really basic stuff like website design, or SEO, email marketing, article marketing.. whatever the subject.

There's the good old "how do I start?", "what programs should I join?". Got that covered. I'm looking for other questions.

Feel free to post them here or PM me about it if you're embarassed . <= I'm personally embarassed about asking silly questions on public forums.. just wrote that in case someone else is like me.

Disclosure: I mentioned elsewhere that I'm working on some courses for new affiliates, so this is part of research. Basically you get free content and I get extra topics.

    Many views, no interest!

We have nothin' but pros on this forum

Seriously though, everyone here is making several thousands per month in passive income and knows everything about internet marketing? That goes against the "revenue" polls that used to be published once in a while.

I forgive you guys if you repent and participate. What's the worst that'll happen, you'll get quality money making knowledge for free?

The two areas I am weakest with are email marketing, and PPC. If you could do step-by-step examples of each I think that could be very beneficial to someone starting out in those areas. Things like comparing the different options for email marketing (Aweber, etc.) and for PPC walking through the actual creation of a campaign from start to finish.

    Thanks Graham,
Email marketing is definitively something I can help with. I'll send you some info when that part is complete. I see a lot of people do it wrong even though its one of the most powerful aspecs of marketing.

When it comes to PPC though (related to gambling), I'm also fairly new. I run PPC campaigns for other products but wasn't gambling banned for a long time? Now I see casinos advertized in Google even in Canada.

Only in this industry are people deathly afraid of revealing their infos. People and casinos seem to think that visitors are going to leave them and go sign up with someone else oh em gee. Guess what, they already do. Over a customer's lifetime, they're going to shop around the block. They're going to visit hundreds of other websites.

That's why partnerships make such a big difference when done right. You want to keep this visitor/customer "in the family". I have a lot of these "golden BBs" and will gladly share them with my partners in the coming months. It all starts with this entry level course since new affiliates need to walk before they can run.

    Hi Jack,

I have a couple of SEO questions:

When it comes to writing articles (or any page for that matter) is it better to allow users to leave comments, or leave the articles as it is? I've seen some that allow comments, others that don't - what I'm worried is that a user will see an article with 0 comments and pass over it as not being a good read without even looking at it.

Link exchanging - When exchanging links should I be having differnet link text for each link exchange or the same? Ex- site 1 links to my site as "Online Casino Guide", site 2 links to my site as"Best Online Casinos"... also should I be trying to do link exchaning for deep links, as in having other sites link directly to an article or game section? From what I've seen 99% of link exchanges are to the home pages.

I don't see anyone else posting to this thread so I will take advantage of it again if the offer is still valid.

On exchanging links - I've seen many affiliate sites have link exchanges either via content, in the footer, or buried in the sitemap under a "links" section.. what is the proper etiquette for this? I would imagine that the main purpose of exchanging links is to share link juice and not necessarily to send traffic (unless between partner or sister sites).. Is there a "best" method for exchanging links?

Thanks again - your previous answer really helped a newbie gain some more insight into SEO

Hey I think its a great idea! I would personally focus on SEO as one of the main subjects, most people have no idea what to do when they are starting out in that topic
