The <ACRONYM title="Search Engine Optimization">SEO</ACRONYM> links carry the aff tag. If that's not what you meant then you should have been specific.
Links to other casinos track the aff tag, but this is not an issue and you know it is not.

Links to casinorewards.com - from all the 30+casino sites and emailers - that do not track the aff tag that is the issue.

    eg : xxhttp://www.blackjackballroom.com/security/partners.asp --> Click --> you go to

    xxhttp://www.casinorewards.com/main/partners.asp --> overview of ALL 30+ casinos

    I clicked on casinoshare :

    xxhttp://www.clicktrack.eu/affiliate/referral.asp?site=csh&url=directdownload-en.asp&aff_id=TYPEIN_CRxhttp://www.blackjackballroom.com/security/partners.asp:CR:CR:CR:CR

    *NOT tracking the aff tag*

With only a few mouseclicks away from the blackjack ballroom site to another CR casino without Rewardsaffiliates having to pay for the referral traffic THAT is what bothers me alot.

You can not possibly justify doing this.

This IS unethical cross promotion of our traffic/players.

You're getting credit. What if the casino told you to stop doing SEO on your website? You run a business and so does the group. It's unfair to say that doing SEO, even though they are carrying through the tags, is hurting affiliates. Again, did you read this thread Dom?

This would then give affiliates something else to complain about. No offence intended, but no matter what happens there is always going to be people who find something to complain about.

I read the thread and accept your explanation re. tags carrying through in this instance.

I am however talking about the links on the bottom of the retention emails - those have been and continue to be the real problem.

And, Renee, I am sure you know that I rarely complain. I only speak up when there is something seriously wrong, and the links on the bottom of retention emails are such a thing.

I don't like flame threads and do not partake in them, but I do keep trying to get my point across when something needs fixing.

I know Dom, however I think we need to make sure we are posting the right information because someone who doesn't know could come in and assume something that is not correct. That is not fair. Would be like me saying something about your site that isn't true, and people coming across it and being none the wiser about it. That wouldn't be fair to you.

Now, there have been a few changes here over the last few weeks that I had requested up to a year ago, and me being "pretty" or "tantalising affiliates" or whatever was said about me in the other thread has absolutely nothing to do with this. It was me doing my job as I have and will always do. You guys should really stop underestimating me

Here are the changes - some have already been implemented and some will be done this week.

CasinoRewards.com - if an aff tag is passed to this website, the aff tag will remain there just like if you sent a player to one of the casino sites. So if your player ends up on casinorewards.com via your aff id and clicks on one of the casino sites from there, that casino will be tagged to you regardless of whether or not a previous affiliate had sent the player to that casino. So the tag will be overwritten.

I know there are going to be people complaining about this because it will mean that if another affiliate had previously referred the player to golden tiger, but then I refer the player to casino action, they click on casino rewards then go to golden tiger, the player will be tagged to me now because the tag carried through from casino action, to casino rewards, then to golden tiger from my referral. This is what you guys asked for and I have managed to get it approved. Please remember that this is what you asked for.

casinorewards.com tracking will go in this order:
    Querystring
    Session
    Cookie

So if a new aff tag comes in via querystring, this will override any other tag on CR. If there is no querystring but a session is present where the tag starts with aff, the aff tag will remain. If there is no querystring, no session, but the cookie tag starts with aff, the cookie tag will remain. If there is no tag already via any of these, and no new tag comes in via one of these methods, the player will be tagged to CR. I am sure you will see this is fair.

The other change is that the casino rewards logo in the footer will contain tracking to casinorewards.com. This will be done this week.

Moving forward I would like to think that your posts regarding any issue you have with the group or the affiliate program stay professional and do not become a personal attack on me like they did in the other thread. I don't believe I deserve to be called names or to be disrespected the way I was - they were just cheap shots and nasty at best, and not necessary. Remember that I'm a person sitting on the other side of the keyboard just like you, so talk to me how you would expect me to talk to you.

I'd also like to point out that you catch more bees with honey, so if you have an issue and want something done about it, the thing that is least likely to make me want to help you is to start by accusing and using nasty language. Let's keep this professional. Thanks.

    Renne,

I'm wondering about tracking when the player redeems loyalty points. When logged in to redeem points it list the casinos a player is a member of and the rest of the properties say "not a member". What happens if a player decides to become a member of one of these casinos?

As I mentioned in the other thread, the Casino Rewards loyalty account ONLY shows the casino accounts that the player has an account at. The other casinos are NOT shown at all.

Loyalty points can only be claimed into an existing account.

    Job well done Renee !

If you have implemented these changes could pls give us an update so we can test it ?

Just let us know if you can ask your bosses to approve/implement the last referrer aff tag in the CR mailers.

Then we are getting there with Rewards !

If this change could be incorporated with the last few then I think our relationship will survive and be mutally benificial.

I too appreciate the recent changes and would like to thank RA & Renee!

Anyways, the above sounds good and perhaps we can pick up again here when it's all active. Sounds like we are making progress.

About 99% of players redeem points inside the casino. I'm not sure why you would bother going to the cr website to redeem points when you can do it through the casino lobby without the hassle of then opening another application. You can redeem in the casino, then play immediately, which is what we encourage the players to do because otherwise they could stray elsewhere and not play at all.

Dom my post was not entirely directed at you but as the community as a whole. I will say this - I think that you (everyone) will all find that things will get done sooner without shouting to the high heavens and acting like, well, children is the best word I can use. I had to convince the dev manager for months to agree to these changes because of that other thread where people were insulting me, then insulting my bosses. Calling my bosses dickheads, saying they should grow some balls. They don't have to change anything, and reading stuff like that makes them less likely to want to change it, no matter what my arguements are.

This type of behaviour does nothing for affiliates. If you want something done, you need to go about it in another way. Acting like children only makes my job harder. As I said in one of my other posts, lets keep this professional.
    Thanks.

Renee, only a very few affiliates will call people "dickheads". You don't need to educate the majority about it. Most of us agree with you and wish people would mind their manners. It's hard to even sift through a post that has important points if it is riddled with insults and accusations. That is precisely what makes so many valid complaints get lost in the rubble. Which is sad and hurts everyone.

The tagging I explained above about the CR site will apply here because it is on the CR site.

I don't have any casino accounts anymore to test the process for redeeming points through the casino lobby but I've almost always redeemed points through the CR site. I could of sworn redeeming points through one central location was an RA selling point, are you telling us that has changed?

What I do remember is I'd receive an email from the pitt boss indicating I had a bonus or I'd just log in and see if anything was in there to redeem.

The reason I did log in to the CR site was it listed all the casinos I had an account at and I could redeem the bonus points at any of them. Sometimes I wanted to try my luck at another property.

Since the partners link is at the bottom its not such a big deal, but there is also the scrolling banner at the top right displaying several bonus offers.

It throws me a 404 when I click it and I recently noticed it stopped working on my site. Perhaps it has something to do with the launching of the new RA site or the fact that I'm in the US, just a heads up on it not working.

    Default Casino Rewards Emails

Please let me know if I'm still flogging a dead horse. I just recently signed up to a Casino Rewards casino via another affiliates aff tag. I have not made a deposit. Yesterday I received two marketing emails from Casino Rewards. The first email did not have any outgoing links to other CR casinos.

The second email is where I need some clarification as it had all the CR casinos listed with out going links to each casino. Are these links tagged to the original affiliate?

I actually had to ask myself if you were trying to make a joke here?

There is a 50 page thread about this somewhere if you would like to read it - I'm pretty sure you posted in that thread. I feel like I'm being made fun of now so I'm not even going to bother posting about this.
