Being sensitive to what people are experiencing in different parts of the world can and is a good thing, but to develop a "script" or marketing based on that may not be sensitive to that and appear on the surface as taking advantage of it.
Examples:
An email from a bank or credit card company explaining how they can offer additional help during the downturn or for customers experiencing a financial setback can be helpful and certainly sensitive to their needs.
An email from a company trying to sell you N95 masks is likely not (unless it happens to be from a company you have an account with or place you tried to previously purchase them).
Marketing from emails or ads on sites advertising the latest bonus offers at a casino, making such claims or statements of how they are virus free, or because you are stuck at home anyway etc, may not be sensitive to individuals feeling like they are in a crisis.
