Arrow What's actually working in Philippine iGaming affiliate SEO

I've been doing SEO in the Philippine iGaming space for a while now, and it feels like the playbook keeps changing.

A few things I've noticed recently:
    • Exact-match domains don't seem to matter as much anymore.
    • Fresh, useful content is outperforming thin "review" pages.
    • Topical authority seems stronger than chasing individual keywords.
    • Good links are getting ridiculously hard (and expensive) to find.
    • AI content helps with speed, but without editing it rarely performs long term.

I'm curious what everyone else is seeing.

What's actually working for you in 2026?

    Are you focusing more on:
    • Content quality?
    • Digital PR?
    • Parasite SEO?
    • Expired domains?
    • Brand building?
    • Social signals?
    • Something else entirely?

Not looking for anyone to reveal their secret sauc..just interested in hearing what's been moving rankings lately.

Good backlinks are definitely getting harder to find. I’d rather have a few relevant links than many high-DR ones.

New here, so these are observations rather than advice, but the Philippines is my main market so I'll throw in what I've been seeing lately.

Your read matches mine on the two that have hurt most. Links being hard and expensive, and thin review pages no longer carrying anything. I'd agree on topical authority over chasing individual keywords too.

One thing I've been finding that isn't on your list. AI assistants are a far bigger share of my Philippine traffic than of my traffic overall. Roughly a quarter of PH sessions, against under 10% sitewide. They've actually performed quite well for me there, ChatGPT especially. Might be worth a look if it's not something you've explored yet.

topical authority, fresh and useful localized content, and high-relevance link building rather than old-school shortcut tactics
